Hi,
New to this site. I have laughed at all your comments they are great!!!
Years ago i had a Kenwood Chef 901. Unfortunately I made the mistake of a lifetime and put it away in the cupboard, only for months later to sell it to a friend. My biggest regret!!
On Saturday I went to a car boot and guess what was there, a Kenwood Chef KM200, it looks brand new, even the bowl does not have any stratches or any paint chips at all. The lady who sold it said she bought it and never used it!!!...well the next biggest surprise was she let me have it for £8.50. I am still in shock, it works perfectly and has 3 attachments with it. I have just ordered the dust cover and now wondering what attachments I should get to go with this. I rang the helpline and it seems that the 900 series attachments will fit the KM, can anybody confirm this please. The OH is complaining saying I have spent more money on the dust cover than on the KC itself lol.
I am thinking of having the mincer, slicer and shredder, anybody give me any positive or negative advice please?
Is the splashguard any good, I can remember being covered in flour when I had my old 901, and thought this would be a good attachment to have.

Hi all KC fans,
Having read this I now NEED a Kenwood Chef, my life just won't be complete until I get one!!!
I'm looking at buying a model a902. Does anyone have one of these or know much about them? I'm assuming any attachments for the 901 would fit or is this wrong?
Thanks in advance.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
Hi, I've been through many of these threads but I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. I'm looking at buying an earlier-model Kenwood Chef and I'm trying to work out the difference between the models. I've been looking at various machines for sale on eBay and I've figured out pretty much how to determine what model a machine is by looking at it. But I still have a few questions.
1 - What's the difference between an A701 and an A701A? Do they look different?
2 - How does the A703C compare to the A701 and A901? Since the A901 takes the new attachments but the A701 does not, what about the A701A and A703C?
3 - What power is the motor on the A701/703/901?
4 - I read that the 701 starts up gently, whereas the 901 has a very fast, powerful startup and so you need the spatter-guard to prevent your mix from hitting the walls! What about the 703C?
5 - The 701 is apparently quieter than the 901 - what about the 703C?
Sorry for so many questions, but I'm trying to work out which one is best to buy. If anyone has any links to a site that answers these questions, that would be great! Thanks....0 -
Oops! Sorry, one thing I forgot to ask... in which model did they introduce the electronic speed control? And is it worth having? Thanks again....0

Hi Medical.
the A901 look nice, all white and the top cover white as well.
my personal opinion, no like A901 is noise and plastic top cover.
