Same here....was wondering what I could useWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -
I've bought for this purpose "Multi Surface Enamel". Its a quick dry spray paint, Wilkinson own brand. But they had other brands as well, a little bit more expensive. Its very easy to use - I applied it myself, without any help from hubby:j0

Im needing to do this to my A701A model. Did you spray all over with it or just the bits that were needed and did you rub down first? How good was the colour match? What sort of finish did you get, was it nice and smooth or did it have runs? Soz for all the questions. Thanks
By the way does anyone know the difference between the A701 and the A701A?
Also would just like to speak of my good luck in being given off freecycle a shredder, mincer and can opener attachment from a very nice lady.0 -
I didn't rub anything. I sprayed all over the area where the bowl sits but it was not in that bad condition, just small parts of paint flaked off here and there. The finish was smooth, nothing run. It runs only if you are spraying the paint for too long and get too much paint to the area. Otherwise it is perfect. You apply 2-3 times to get the desirable finish. BTW the instructions are quite detailed and you can try it on smth else before torturing you beloved Kenwood
And don't buy "white" colour. You need smth like "old style white" or "antique white".0 -

The K beater, whisk and dough hook from 901 models onwards will fit an A701A whereas they will not fit a A701. I do not know if there is any other differences.0 -
I can't believe some of the prices the Kenwood Chefs are going for on ebay.
One like mine went for £82.
 Makes me wonder should I sell mine and buy a cheaper one.
