Hi everyone
Sorry, been MIA virtually all month! Still adding up for August. MRsM - please would you put me down for £400 for September? We are now car-less for a month, so I should be able to stick to this (& then some!) if I can only carry a bit of shopping on the bus!
Will catch up later.

Hmm, I think i'll give this a go for once if I may?

Not really sure what I spend as it varies each month, so i'm going to go for £50 for the month and see what happens! I'll start from tomorrow as can then keep track of it more easily.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

I had roast chicken for dinner (omnomnomnom) and it was one of those ones from M&S which you cook in the little metal tray thing it comes in.
When it was done there was lots of "chicken goo" (think a sort of golden liquid) which has solidified into a kinda jelly.
Should I keep this? It's in the fridge just in case! I'm making chicken soup tomorrow, is this good to add?

It's basically a good strong stock (I find the stronger the stock, the quicker it tuns into a jelly - and the more solid the jelly) Cheryl0 -
We have had a much more Old Style day than yesterday's Yorkshire pudding with SIX eggs (for two people!
). I made vegetarian curry with a 40p jar of organic tomato sauce, Smartprice onion, frozen spinach, coconut cream and some stale dried spicy chickpeas.
Then Mr. Fire Fox made fishcakes with sprouting potatoes, a wrinkly lemon, Smartprice onion, and some stinking smoked trout which actually wasn't that stinky when defrosted (maybe cos it's been there almost a year?). As both the fish and the chickpeas were destined for the bin, I am pretty pleased with the result.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Can I re-join the Grocery Challenge please? I know I dissapeared for quite a while, but I'm back now (and there is much rejoicing
). Budget of £100, including eating out. Running the 1st - 30th September. We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
I can see that everyone is off picking loads of blackberries, I just haven't had much time, and when ever I got a few spare mins, it's blooming raining

Hopefully will get out tomorrow and see if there's any left:D
