Hi & welcome back Beth
Never let success go to your head, never let failure go to your heart.0 -
Thought that I had already posted to-day....sure sign that the Alzeimer's is kicking in I think.
Burp....hugs on your loss.
Beth....nice to see you back, slow down enough to let us know what you're up to now and then.
NPM...hugs and kind thoughts.
MissPenPen....congratulations
Twilight....welcome to OS
Bitsy, Moliered live here for a while... prices for food higher than in UK, Italy or Netherlands.
Have been thinking that I would like a smallish caravan to be able to take off when I felt like it, only trouble is that our little car wouldnt tow anything and static ones would cost at least €2k per year for site, so will have to stay at the back of my mind for a long time yet.
Dinner to-day was pork chops, turnip, carrots and potatoes, with fruit and icecream to follow....no idea what is happening to-morrow re dinner.
Hugs to all in need or want of one,

Evening Chums just returned from our great holiday on the Isle of Wight family all had a great time apart from yours truly falling over ( stone cold sober may I add) on the second day and injuring my thumb, wrist and elbow.plus a nasty graze chunked out of my knee.I had stopped with one of my DGS and we were just walikng up a side road to see if we could see the fishing lake where he wanted to do some fishing.I had some flat sandles on and my left foot just twisted at the anckle and I turned it rather sharply.put out my right arm instictively to save myself and went down like a sack of spuds.Ben started to panic as he;s only 13 and was frightened as we were in the back of beyond near to Yafford, and there was no one around. Bless him he and his younger brother Henry helped me up and Henry said in true eight year old style 'Cor youv'e got a smashing lump out of you knee Granny, its bleeding ever so hard'
I managed to get back to the car and drive us all back to Chale where we were
staying .My DD wasn't happy about it though but I managed to talk her out of hospital until the following morning. So Sunday morning we all plodded of the St Marys Hospital where some smashing nurses sorted me out.Luckily nothing was broken, but just badly wrenched and sprained. So after x rays I was splinted up and sent home with my arm in a sling and told to elevate it fot the rest of the week.Flipping nuisance its been and the two days later my DDs car alarm started to play up and kept going off at odd times for no reason so a trip to the garage and £132.00 later it was fixed. Bit of a disaster holiday all round really but the kids had a good time and the weather wasn't too bad.My dd and Ben caught some fish when they went on a fishing boat trip.Kids managed to enjoy their time on the beach and had a trip to Amazon World and Blackgang which cheered them up no end.We went to Carisbrooke castle and liked that and had a day at Sandown and played crazy golf.Holiay was over too quickly and we said next year we will aim for two weeks .The cottage was superb and had everything you could want and was very comfortable.Even the dog loved his holiday and chased a few rabbits.Back to normality again, though and we have to start saving for next year.
Am finding it a bit of a nuisance having to type with my left hand at the moment and am still feel a bit shaken up.Daft old bat, what a nuisance to go falling about like that.My right hand looks like a hand of bananas hopefully it will go down with time.Hope you have all had a good week and been saving your cash.We never spent as much as I thought we would which was good and only ate out twice.last night we had a lovely meal for three adults and five hungry kids in the local pub which was a bit pricey but it was out last night, and the kids loved it as they rarely get to eat out much. So back to normal now for another year.I went to Tescos tonight and stocked up on lots of stuff so I don't think I need go for another fortnight I spent around £67 and my cupboards are full to bursting.Well time to toddle of to bed and rest my arm I am supposed to elevate it.At the moment I cannot brush my hair or clean my teeth with my right arm as it just will not bend.Tommorow my eldest DD is visiting I bet she has a moan at me.Oh well accident will happen.I bought a fancy new walking stick whilst on the island, in fact my dgs picked it out for me as he said it was a groovy one Its red and pink roses and very smart and funky.he says i will be able to spot it as its bright !!Bless him
Night night all JackieO xx0
