Hi IMD, the black bin bag routine made me laugh and reminded me of nag nag nagging my eldest DS to tidy his room with the threat that if it wasn't done I'd just throw anything on the floor out.... next day, no change to said floor, so I opened the bedroom window and started throwing things out. An expensive jumper landed in the pond. Strange how he howled "noooooo - do you know how much that cost" (I did think, how can I afford that, nothing of mine costs that much?). Strange also, how much tidier his room stayed after that!!! Happy days. Now his OH gets to nag him :)

Hi IMD, things sound a bit up and down for you at the mo. I hope you are ok, and that the referral sorts things out pretty sharpish for you. I have private health insurance, through work, and have always been very glad that I have been able to use it on the odd occasion that I needed it.

Big ((hugs)) to you, and another packet of cookies coming your way as you sound like you need them!!

Thank you, am a bit up and down as completely unexpected having gone to the Dr on something unrelated. Of course the thought of the big C is flagged up in my mind but it really probably is nothing.

Didn't mean to be fickle about having private healthcare but I think it was pretty sad that instead of my health, the first thing that crossed my mind was how much money it would cost - stupid I know.

Anyway, not brooding, keeping busy - have made an appointment and am being seen soon.

Cheers for the cookies Hypno but OH bought me a huge box of chocolates, and even filled in the spending diary :rotfl: Off to have a catch up now.,

It's good not to brood. Just be positive and go and get it sorted. PMA all the way :)

As for costs, of course it's the first thing you think of because you have worked very hard to retrain your brain and it's worked :T Won't you be able to claim the £100 back though?

By the way, when's the big run? I'm supposed to be doing a 10k race in 3 weeks  (I haven't even entered yet, but promised my friend I would :o)

  • Hi IMD and thx for your helpful post about the pup on my diary. My OH, like you, is training for a marathon at the mo, and is super fit just now, so you must be too. Therefore am sure you are right in thinking all is well with you, but always good to get checked out.

Have had a much much better day today myself - well, sun was out, was super productive and of course, DSs at school which always helps! - so thanks for your kind words on my diary yesterday
