Lets put it this way I have experience of a very large number of tribunals and I have never known them not to be INDEPENDENT.0 -

It is a bit like banging your head against a brickwall, but I have continued because of the amount of people that are being put off posting as you, dmg, and NASA highlighted in the thread that was moved recently.0 -
Lets put it this way I have experience of a very large number of tribunals and I have never known them not to be INDEPENDENT.
Would that be sitting on the tribunal as a claimaint, or sitting on the tribunal as a doctor, lawyer or chair? Or something else?[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -

Due to problems with posters in the past I do not give out any personal details on public forums or to people I do not know.
Fair comment, but its hardly 'personal details' to reveal if your experience is from the claimaint side, or the tribunal itself side, or from working in the civil service in some capability that would involve you coming into contact with tribunal data at some point in your work, or from working for a independant organisation/charity that deals with tribunal cases etc.
No one is asking for names/addresses/place of work/exact job title/exact companies or departments, etc - just a general inclination so people can understand what sort of experience you are likely to have.

What would be the point? This is a public forum and I could say I'm a doctor and no one could prove me wrong if I just Googled medical terms up.0

If you said you were a doctor it would be easy to prove should the need arise if you are indeed a doctor. -edit to add, and it could be done without me finding out the identity of said doctor.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

...and therein lies the measure of success for the multi £billion business know as the DWP - move the cost to another departments budget, maybe the claimant will end up in hospital or prison or even dead; THEY SIMPLY DON'T CARE.A quote from the DWP's own impact assessment for ESA (replacement for incapacity benefit)
They are aware a significant number of people will have to leave the benefits system entirely, and only SOME of them will leave via entering work. The others, well they just dont get any income from anywhere.Rob0
