Incapacity Benefit Wrongly Stopped - Failed Medical
Comments

The majority of medicals are fair.
The vast majority of independent tribunals are fair.
Sorry for repeating myself, there seems to alot of it about.0 -
Does it really matter if the majority are fair, as according to rough estimates worked out earlier, if everyone in this thread needed to claim benefits, about 1 in 5 people in this thread if they went for a medical would be treated unfairly, and have their benefits stopped incorrectly.
It no different to 1 in 5 people in this thread who are working go to work on monday and being fired for something they didnt do - and having to wait ages for an appeal to prove their innocence.
Im sure the people who lost their job would find the fact that the 'majority' of the others in the thread were treated fairly cold comfort, and completely irrelavant to the fact they were not.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -

Evidently medicals are not fair - the tribunals reverse large portion of those poor sick people that were unfairly judged - those that are only just well enough to withstand stress of the procedure.
BTW: The 'independent' tribunals are not independent - they even act for the prosecution (DWP) when they don't show up.0 -
Yes it does matter because people like you are making it seem that it is normal to have an unfair medical/tribunal and it is not.
You said all that other stuff yesterday and I have no further comment other than it was originally 2 in 5 but you gave incorrect information so now it is 1 in 5.0 -

Making up a statistic this time to give an example
1 in 5 people dont like cheese
Question is it abnormal to not like cheese?
Answer:
No its perfectly normal to not like cheese, many people do like cheese, many people dont like cheese, around 1 in 5 people dont like cheese, so its perfectly normal to not like cheese.
Just like its perfectly normal for someone to get a good medical, and its perfectly normal for someone to get a bad medical. More may get good medicals, but its normal if if you get a bad one, it happens to lots of people, its not an abnormal, rare occurance at all.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

Now you are just being tedious.
I have been quite clear in what I mean, the majority of medicals are fair - that is a statistical fact and I have no intention of disecting the meaning of the word normal.0
