Ive done it.I needed a focus for my daily clicks ,so ive booked a holiday for next September.Middle of nowhere,Scotland borders.Log cabin.Bliss.

I now have a major focus .I am going to make sure by the time i go,ive paid for it out of pin money from my daily clicks etc.

Cost £340 .Not bad for a log cabin in Scotland. Not a stupid slot machine in sight.I dont want my kids near those things.

Having a lazy Saturday.Lovin it.Will have to make up for it tomorrow. But thats tomorrow, haha.

  • Sounds like a good focus to me DD. Although i liked to have the kids occupied on hols...haven always managed that when they were younger and we tried lots of kid club type things abroad. We did centre parks a couple of times too and they equally enjoyed that.

Ah these miserable chuffs arent happy even when you are throwing cash at them.So they can learn to love it,lol.
They like nature anyway. And the log cabin has sky,so that will keep the lil tv addicts happy at night. Its near museums and Yarrow, and Sir Walter Scotts house that he built.I love history and I think I may have been lucky enough to have passed it on to my children. It will just make a nice change not to be taking nappies and pushchairs lol.
We didnt go anywhere this year so it will have been 2 1/2 yrs since the last time by time we go.Been looking at home made soap recipes today.I love the scents they give off and love essential oils .Might make a few quid too, lol.

  • I used to drag the kids on all the english heritage and national trust sites too..loads of freebie days out and picnics in lovely locations. DS used to love the castles and desperately wanted to be a knight of the round table. As we also live near Camelot theme park he would get regular visits there too...satisfied his knightly ways ( and Sir lancelot was well worth the visit) Being a teacher i used to get freebie tickets as well.

Im a bit of a geek,so love learning even when im relaxing.
I would like to pass that on to all my children. As learning is then pleasure not pain and endurance, lol.
But I cant help feeling that the oldest two have very different methods of learning. One very academic and probably mainly an Auditory learner. The other a very Kinaesthetic(sp) learner.Unfortunately,i dont feel Kinaesthetic learners are very well catered for in todays curriculum or education full stop. But as long as I see they enjoy education and try ,I dont mind what ballpark figures they hit for targets.
I was so obsessed by that as a child ,it just made me feel like anything but the top was failure.Eventually made me burn out.
Im finding at turning 30,I can lose all pretence in what others expect and can finally be me,enjoy things such as my castles and anthology. Before I would have felt people would find it not "with it "as such. Now I couldnt give a %^$ lol.But I would like my girls to pick tat up a bit quicker than I did. They seem more savvy and havent had the past trebulations I had,so heres hoping.
A excuse me,im quite drunk thanks to Tesco. They sold me 15 cans of cider for a fiver ,lol.
My girls love the castles and museums ,they just hate the walking, haha.

    Huh,when did I get my little gold star?How did I get it?Only just noticed it.I want a star party,lol.

Wheres all my friends?Someone post,i look like nobody likes me,haha.

The coinage is going up as you can see on my signature. Finally ffeel like I am finding my feet with this.
Just wish I could do the same with the bread.I have had one GREAT loaf out of about 10.Some being acceptable, but doesnt matter how hard I try I just ccant do it again.Il be throwing the bread machine out of a window soon.ggrrrr!!!!!

The money making online is far easier than trying to become domesticated.I would rather be gardening or reading a book.Or repeatedly smacking my head against a brick wall!!!!!

Sounds like I am in a bad mood.Far from it,i feel quite humourous.

And after one holiday every 2 years and dragging pushchairs, babymilk and toddlers, and usually a pregnancy belly of about 30 wks gone,I am more than looking forward to a family holiday with more mature children in 12 months.

Have to wait in for a delivery tomorrow, but 7-7 is just taking the miccey.Ive got to take the kids to school and back again ,so they will have to lump it if they miss me.

The cashback sites seem to be working for you, and it didn't take long to acheive. You should get them through soon enough, I would expect them in November. When mine all came through it was great seeing on the validated turn to paid. For me the surveys seem a little slow, I always seem to find that after I cash out, how are they going for you.

Well done on the Gold Star.

Hmm, i do love a debate about learning methods and i am a bit of a maverick when it comes to teaching my own way:cool: Have to say the schools are a bit more tuned in these days ( so long as we all toe the corporate line) The problem comes when Govt ministers stick their beaks in.

Which is why i work with excluded children and whatnot...still have to toe a line, but is far more flexible and we can cater a bit better.

I do love a good castle though and am a history buff. Poor pupil today was reading Macbeth, we started talking about allsorts ( speaking and listening) got onto ruthlessness and Henry the 8th- the dissolution of the monastries, his reasoning behind it etc...all from Macbeth:eek:Who'd a thunk it eh?:rotfl:One of the best afternoons teaching i have had for a while.:D:rotfl:

You are a facilitator ,not a teacher, haha.Yeah started my PTLLS in feb but depression meant i gave up.

I am one of those people that believe if a child has the ability to read and is given the passion for learning, they will pick it up later if they fall off the tracks early on.I smoked pot and left home at 16.But I loved reading,i use to lose myself in books. Then in my 20s I went back to get my English A level as a pregnant mum.
Do you work in E2E or the likes then?

I teach children who have been excluded or have learning difficulties for one reason or another, so teach from KS1 upto Gcse level. I am Primary trained though.

I have also worked within private schools who specialise in the austistic spectrum. Have done supply and worked in all sectors..very interesting at times.

Edit to say that i worked in Primary School for 10 years before going into this...prepares you for anything that does.
