Can I suggest we stop this thread before it goes any further.

The OP has already admitted fraud by working without declaring.

The rest of the thread will be snide comments about getting pregnant with no funds, committing fraud, life choices, absent dad contributions, screwing the system and the spiral of society.

Lets wish the OP goodbye and good luck and not offer anymore advice.

I second that - I've made my feelings quite clear. I'll not be wishing the OP good luck though.

A person not entitled to MA may claim ESA for 8 weeks. I'm questioning my self now, that was certainly the case with Incap, pretty sure it's still the case for ESA.
Yes they can claim ESA in that situation, though it would not apply to the op.

Come on you lot, the OP has admitted she was wrong and i thinks she has learned from it. Yes, she's been silly and knows it. = Move on

There but for the grace etc.

OP - if you dont want to stay on here go to the CAB for any further help.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

From the way she has written her op I don't think there is any remorse, though if she had been honest in the first place she would have been able to keep most of her wages. I can understand why people are getting upset!

Are we not allowed one mistake in life, and hopefully learn from it?

It was not a mistake though was it! A mistake is when you do something by accident, but not on purpose. Benefit fraud, in the op's case, it was deliberate.

I am very well aware of that, I was referring to the pregnancy

Okay, I see what you are saying.

Though it always makes me feel sad that a baby is classed as a mistake.

Since when has a criminal offence been "silly"?
