    You're wasting your time Julie - she clearly lives in a twisted little world of her own and doesn't always know what she's talking about !

    I do enjoy a healthy debate it is true.
    Not sure why you think correcting misconceptions is wrong.

    I fear you are correct.

    I hope the OP is okay and the supermarket involved has sorted out its procedures.

    And common sense says OP shouldn't have have moved something that would cause a huge mirror to dislodge, she should have told the shop staff to move the mirror before grabbing whatever caused it to move, if she had any sense at all.

    She has as much respobsibility for her own actions as the shop does to make sure the shop is safe. If the mirror had been placed on a shelf and was concealed from OP until she removed something from the shelf it would have been a completely different scenario.
    It is fair to assume the OP did not realise that moving the object would cause the mirror to fall and this was not a wilful act to cause injury to self.

    Common sense says you do not go shopping and expect to have to negotiate precariously placed 7x3 mirrors. It is perfectly reasonable for the customer to expect a large, presumably heavy and dangerous item (and a 7x3 mirror is if it falls on you) to be stacked safely.

    The onus is entirely on the store to ensure the environment is safe, not for the customer to assess. Judging by the reactions of staff they recognised this and were trying to find who left it there in error.

    I'm fairly sure that the op is not blind -
    That's an assumption which is probably correct. In which case are you saying blind people should not go into supermarkets because they cannot see precariously placed hazards?:confused:
    so unless they have a sub average IQ they must understand that if two things are touching each other if you move one then there is a good chance the other will move. I'm also guessing that she may understand that big heavy things hurt when they fall on you, if not before then she does now...
    What IQ do you suggest you need to safely enter the store?:confused:

    Nah not really, I couldn't give a toss to be honest

    :rotfl::rotfl:
    Fair point, you must get used to it after a while.
