  • I know I have some sort of liver in my freezer and was thinking of making pate with it, in advance for chritmas. If I do so, can I then freeze it?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Tibbies mum,

Yes, liver pate freezes well...I have some in the freezer at the moment. There's an earlier thread with some recipes that may help so I'll add your post to it to keep the replies together.

I am catering for a birthday party - up to 19 people at the end of January.

I am serving a big buffet, most of which is home made, however I would love to try and make the pate.

Does anyone have great, tasty receipes that work out fairly cheap and can be frozen??

Does anyone have a simple recipe for chicken liver pate that doesn't use brandy or other alcohol (or does it really matter if you leave it out)? I have searched the recipes on here and couldn't find anything. I bought some reduced last week (about 500g) but all my recipes have brandy or sherry in. TIA.;)

You can just omit the Brandy. It is just to give it flavour!

Another quick question though, can you freeze pate successfully?
