Hi annaangeluk,
There's an older thread with some pate recipes that should help so I've added your thread to it.

I'm trying to avoid buying any processed meat for DH sandwiches. I'll be using left over meat (all-free range since the HFW programme) where I can, bought that home-made pates would be nice and wondered what other people do...perhaps things like liver pate, lentil pate, home-made humus, fish pates? Does anyone have any tried and tested recipes and how long do they last for in the fridge,
Thanks,
Claire0 -
Hi acemoola,
This older thread might help. I've added your thread to it to keep all the recipes together.

Hi All
Wondering whether someone can help - title says it all really! I am currently pregnant but have a real craving for some pate, which is a real no-no at the moment.
Does anyone have a recipe for something similar that I can try?!
Many thanks

Go onto Weezl's thread and get the recipe for her lentil pate - I can't do links - it really is fantastic, once you have put the seasoning in you can hardly tell it fron the meaty variety.0

Nothing constructive to say just that I know how you feel. Through both my pregnancies I craved runny eggs - 9 months is a long time to wait. Didnt help that OH would sit dipping is bacon into his egg in front of me!0

Not a recipe although our Somerfield used to stock a pate which was veg based. Maybe try some health food places or the vegetarian section as many veg based pates are lovely yet obviously no worry of liver being in them.
I quite often fancied Brussels pate when preg but resisted- its so difficult though.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
