I do know what you mean...I can't turn to my mum for support (well emotional support anyway!) on anything...I found it easier once I had accepted that fact.

Gosh Lucifa. I know I don't really know you so you can tell me to get lost if you want. Obviously baby blues are a lot different to post natal depression - it's a chemical imbalance in your brain isn't it - all those hormones flying around - does your mum not understand that it's the chemicals? and not you? perhaps she doesn't want to believe it?
Anyway hope you've got good support form other people and hope that you and your mum can sort things somehow.

Seriously Luc...I had the opposite problem...half my family have been sectioned for mental disorders and I took great pride in being the 'sane' one in the family...<Maz, stop laughing now!> so when I was diagnosed with PND my mother refused to believe it and said I was just like the rest of the family now and destined to be on anti d's for years........
