Oh oh oh I'm like this wacko.gifwoohoo.gifwacko.gifwoohoo.gif

A few years ago, mr tru's friend was an engineer, he went on holiday and came back with a few bottles of hot sauce, which his friends at work wanted to buy off him. So he placed the odd order and started selling them. He quit his job, rented a warehouse and started selling on the internet. Today he told mr tru that he wants to buy our habanero chilis off us to make his own sauce :j

I'm already selling handmade crafts. We can also sell our tomatoes, when we get more hens we can sell our eggs. Not only live OS but earn money OS too :j Mr tru wants to make cider.

    More ideas please :D

Taplady - sorry to hear your news. I've had the colposcopy but luckily rather than an H they gave me a 'cone biopsy' instead and I have been clear now for almost ten years. My thoughts are with you.

Thanks Lillibet I had the cone biopsy about 6 years ago. I've made an appointment on Thursday with my GP to discuss it - she's lovely.
Halight - if I have the op I'll definitely get myself a bell:D

I had a huge slice of coffee cake and a nice chat to my sister this morning. DH and I are talking so fingers crossed we'll make up properly:o;):D

Thanks for the hugs and messages everyone.:T

Tru - congratulations to you both:T

Bitsy bean, thanks for your help. I guessed as much, so have bought some bakery goodies to take with us for breakfast instead (chocolate chip brioche and blueberry muffins, kids will love me!!).

Am hoping it isn't too much of a walk from the travelodge to Sealife at Brindley Place, it doesn't look very far. Travelodge has a car park that is £6 for 24 hours, compared to the Sealife one that looks horrendously expensive! Plan is to get down there tomorrow, park in Travelodge, then walk to Sealife. Pootle about there, then have dinner out (probably pizza express as have tesco vouchers).

Next day we'll have breakfast I'll take with us, then head to Cadbury World for our 9.50 slot. Not sure how long it takes in there, kids are hoping they get given lots of chocolate, but I don't think its that much any more?. Anyway, sure it will be a great time, and as most of it is free thanks to Mr Tesco, will be a nice little trip away.

    Evening all:)

Well, not much OSing done today. I've managed to bake a batch of bread and do the laundry though.

Took the thriftlings into town to get all their hair cut! DD is not happy with hers as it is half a centimetre too short. I'm not sure what she wants me to do about it:confused: DS1 had a nice sensible haircut, thanks to his being in the air cadets and DS2 has had about 2mm off his -unfortunately we were running late so I didn't have time to make him have more off -waste of £9:rolleyes:

Tea has been chorizo pilaff -rice with veg ( red pepper, courgette, onion, peas, sweetcorn and sun-dried tomatoes) fried in the oil from the sun-dried tomatoes with half a chorizo sausage. Yummy.

Tomorrow I intend to bake some fruity buns or some scones and do the ironing plus make homity pies for tea before taking Dd swimming.

Its with shame I admit I've not been to Cadbury World so don't know how long it takes. I think you get given some chocolate but not shedloads. However they do have the discount shop there so you can probably pick up a few bargains.

Everywhere in Brum is expensive to park unless you want to walk for miles on end. Travelodge isn't far from the Sealife and Pizza Express is located nearby in Brindley Place.

If I read correctly you going down Wednesday and coming home Thurs night? I wouldn't stay in the Travelodge at a weekend as the noise must be awful

Hope you have a good time :D

There's a Sanisbury's Express/Extra/Whatever it is they're called on Broad Street. so you could always nip in there for picnic-y type breakfast. Hmmm....I don't know if they have a cafe - BUT, (lightbulb moment!) there is also a large Tescos at the Five Ways end of Broad Street that definately has a cafe - you could treat yourself to bacon and eggs :T

Alternatively, if you keep walking past the Tescos, under the roundabout there's a little bloke in a greasy spoon van who does divine bacon and sausage butties.

(How do I know this, you ask? My office is just opposite. I *may* have sampled them once or twice....)

You're right - Sealife is quite close to your hotel. Bournville is about 20/30 mins drive away (depending on traffic and your navigating skills). I'm afraid I can't help you on Cadbury's as, despite living a few miles from there I HATE chocolate and have never been!

    Have a good time :D

(Edited to add - I've just made the Mincemeat Muffins from the Grocery Challenge recipe list and they are scrummy...om nom nom....)

I've been to Cadbury's world.....several years ago when the DS's were small.....while we were sampling their delights the Grand National was stopped due to a bomb scare & it ran the next day on the Sunday - that shows how long ago it was!

Anyway, it was a good day, interesting, and yes, you (did) get one or two samples - and the "seconds" shop at the end :D
