back again - have just had an argument with DH over something trivial:(, now he has gone to bed for a couple of hours(he was up early for work)
I've just had a letter from the hospital saying I need a colposcopy as my latest smear was still abnormal. I have a history of this and some of you may remember they were going to give me a hystorectomy a couple of years ago but changed their minds so now depending on the results it may well be on the cards again so I'm feeling a bit fed up and tearful with this on top of falling out with DH.
    I'm sure we'll make up later( a-la-Hester maybe;):D)
In the meantime I'm going out now to meet Mum and my sister and have a huge slice of cake and a coffee:D

    Morning all!

redruby - erm, well it does seem to rain a lot here at the mo! Hope you enjoy Cheddar, give me a wave as you go past, you'll drive past the end of my garden en route! Might even see me there, got to get new school ties for the kids from the school supplier in Cheddar! x

Taplady - hope that next lot of results are good and that you make things up soon x

Halight - hope you hear back soon, prob worth another call or email if you don't though, as so many charities operate on a shoestring and don't always have the time or staff to reply, even though they are desperate for volunteers x

lillibet - the jam maker is fab, I love mine, means you can make just 3 jars in one go, so that you can try lots of variations! x

Well how come when you can have a lie in you wake up! Pah! Was looking forward to my last week of lie ins as well!

Today's os stuff will involve cleaning, encouraging the kids to sort out their rooms, helping ds finish off his room and being a nagging mother and getting ds to finish his 2 english assignments! Will prob manage some cooking too! Need to throw appropriate stuff into flask for yoghurt, BM and WM as well. No meal plan done as yet, but will be toad in the hole with mash and cabbage and carrots for dinner, god bless the moski and the fact that it allows even me to get a yorkie mix to rise!

Oh, went into Asda yesterday and napolina toms (chopped and plum) are on offer, 4 for £1 - I bought loads, think about £9 worth, but saved over £25 - did make me giggle, never saved that much on toms before! Still at 25p a can they work out cheaper than value ones! Only thing was I went to collect oh after and he really does believe that I'm preparing for armageddon!!!!

Probably just as well he didn't see me after I popped in again later with ds to get him a new duvet, thought I'd just have a looksee in the reduced cabinet, wasn't expecting much cos it was only 3pm, but ended up with loads of pies, quiches and huge lasagnes and pasta bakes and garlic bread for about 30p each, just can't make them at that price, and they will come in handy till my new freezer is nice a full of hm ready meals. ds has now given up rolling his eyes at me, and actually helped bargain hunt!

Hope everyone has a great day xx

Halight - Good luck with volunteering
    MSD - Beautiful flowers
Taplady - Sorry about your smear test results. Hope you have fun making up with hubby!!

Did read but didn't post yesterday. Spent some time surfing the net and printing off restaurant deals for our upcoming mini-break to Birmingham! Also phoned Cadbury World to get a booking ref (am paying in tesco deals to get in). Bearing in mind I phoned yesterday for Thursday, they could only offer us 9.50am, or from 1.10pm to get in, so sounds like its going to be busy! We plumped for the earlier option. Staying in the Travelodge on Broad Street, so if anyone has any local knowledge as to where we could go for breakfast prior to Cadbury World that would be great!

Plans for today - tesco. Not sure what else. Oh yes, and packing, although don't need much as only going for one night!

    Have a great day.

    (((hugs))) Taplady.
Halight - I used to work in volunteering - try your loacl volunteer centre if you hear nothing from Headway (although I'm sure you will hear from them). Great that you are keen to volunteer - there are lots of opportunities out there.
Sunny here in Suffolk -hope it is not too hot today. Washing on the line, 6 bags of gardening cuttings to the tip and more pruning and clearing back planned for today. Also dropped off a bag to the charity shop. It had been in my car for about 2 weeks!
DH watching DSS play football tonight so won't be in for tea. I'll have some HM veggie curry from freezer.
Off to flylady thread for instructions!
Hope you have a good day folks.

    Morning everyone :D

It started off sunny here but now it's cloudy overhead ... gotta visit the farm show today to stock up on Wessex Mill flour and lots of sausages for the freezer then possibly on to Aldi for the way overdue weekly shop

Lillibet I too need to go into work and sort out my classroom but I have the sneaky feeling it's gonna take me longer than 1 day  I've already spent 3 days there taking down displays and re-papering! The last class was possibly the most untidiest class I've had yet!

Taplady fingers crossed that everything goes OK for you ... they always seem to try and stay on the safe side to protect themselves and follow up the tiniest thing :o reminded me I'm overdue too

Happy Birthday to anybody celebrating

Sorry to hear your bad news taplady,
My wife and i know to ladys that both had a run of bad smear tests. And in the end thay both ended up haveing hystoretomys but both are now fine and have been ever since there ops
My own mom has had bad smears in the past and the doctors have talked about ops but thay have never done anything.
Not a nice op to have but if you look on the bright side then you will get six weeks off from doing any house work and gardening any cooking ect. Get yourself a little bell and and let everyone wait on you (hope that you dont have to have it:A)

I hope that you enjoy making up with your OH with our two little ones theres on time for falling out let alone making up:D

    Enjoy your cake too

    Richard
