Hi all,not looked in for a day or two-hope everyone is ok.Our DSons arrived back yesterday afternoon from their camping weekend at the V festival ,cue a call from the estate agent to say a couple wanted to view this morning! So we all spent last night getting rid of the camping stuff and stinky washing before they retreated to their rooms to catch up on much needed sleep.
Tbh, I think the house is probably too big for the couple, but we'll see.We didnt get off to a great start as they were early,I hadnt brought the bins in that had just been emptied, and the dog was still outside and a dog passed just as they got out of the car and he was barking his head off at it.When I tried to get hold of him ,he pranced off and I had to catch him before I could open the gate
I'm putting the washer on again shortly,I couldnt hang it out with the viewers coming.Probably salmon for tea,I got 2 whole ones off the market, got them filletted, then I cut them up,so loads in freezer now.Our favourite way is in the Remoska with a bit of oil,and chilli and garlic seasoning on top, with salad.I have had to resort to buying salad leaves as mine is all finished at the moment, must do some more-even if its just for the windowsill.

Afternoon all :hello:
Dont know what the weather is up to sunny, then dull, looks like rain now and gone a bit nippy
Been to Mums took her shopping over and done her housework, sorted the fridge and freezer out, and just generally did anything she wanted done. Does'nt take long now she is in sheltered accommodation, she loves it and does all sorts of things, she is off to Tai-Chi in the common room later  has to sit down though as she is a bit wobbly on her pins
booked for her hair tomorrow, goes to the film show on Sunday afternoons, and if she gets fed up she wanders up to the common room for a chat with anyone who is about, she does well for an 87yr old
Out in a bit for a late lunch :T:T:T

back again - have just had an argument with DH over something trivial:(, now he has gone to bed for a couple of hours(he was up early for work)
I've just had a letter from the hospital saying I need a colposcopy as my latest smear was still abnormal. I have a history of this and some of you may remember they were going to give me a hystorectomy a couple of years ago but changed their minds so now depending on the results it may well be on the cards again so I'm feeling a bit fed up and tearful with this on top of falling out with DH.
I'm sure we'll make up later( a-la-Hester maybe;):D)
In the meantime I'm going out now to meet Mum and my sister and have a huge slice of cake and a coffee:D
Try not to worry i do know this is easyer said than done . I did have a hystorectomy when i was 24 from cancer and to be honest its the best thing to have happened there is no worry now, and like halight said after the op you get everryone waiting on you and i too have never had any problems since and im 39 nowenjoy your cake and coffee.
well its been a busy day here i went shopping this morning and got caught in a down pour, which stoped by the time i walked home  had the district nurse out to hubby to change pipe and check peg tube. hes sleeping now bless him. Done all housework and got blackberrys bubbling on stovewashing on line making the most of the sun , hugs to all who need/want one , bye

Sorry my inbox has only room for 2 more messages. It is full of old ones I dont want to delete including some from Mr Lewis himself. :TI often cant reply til I delete what they have sent me. You really get hardly any room at all on here.
I have now a little space left..so feel free to try again if you wish and thanks to you and everyone.
((((Taplady)))) hoping the day is going better for you by now.
We didn't go to the CAMRA meeting last night; I just felt too rough. I didn't even want to join Mr LW in a glass of cider, which is most unlike me (I had water instead, just to keep him company, so counts as MS I suppose:D).
I've made some bread rolls, but figure we have enough Birsay biscuits left for tomorrow, and he's on early shift (w*rking from home) Thursday, so hopefully I'll feel more like making cakes and suchlike then.
Not sure about tonight's dins - mushroon risotto is looking probable.
Must remember on Thursday to get Mr LW to take me into town when he finishes w*rk - I have the cheque for dog-sitting to pay in, also need to go to Snappy Snaps and get my photo done (BOO HISS) as my Blue Badge will need to be renewed soon. It's a little dearer than the do-it-yourself kiosk, but you get to see the pic before it's printed, and if you think it's awful, they'll do another one.
((((HUGS)))) to all wanting/needing one today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Afternoon all:j
Oh, I am a happy bunny:j - my bank manager won't be though! Had a fab time in Lakeland. Bought the jam-maker and the damson jam is stirring as we speak. Also bought an easyyo. Do I have to buy those sachet things each time or can I use milk and a starter from this batch of yoghurt? Add to that a new garlic press, a shortbread mould (I know, I know:rolleyes:) plus lots of cookie cutters for school. Oh, and did I mention the new baster and the chocolate mould?:eek:
Taplady - sorry to hear your news. I've had the colposcopy but luckily rather than an H they gave me a 'cone biopsy' instead and I have been clear now for almost ten years. My thoughts are with you.
Hope your days are going well, whatever you are doing.
Lilli

Gotta tell someone, my toad in the hole has worked! Hooray, was concerned that I'd be serving up sausage pancakes - me and toad in the hole are always a funny mix, but the moski seems to have cracked it for me! Next step mini yorkshires in it!
Think this counts as OS, as usually have to buy yorkies! xGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Bearing in mind I phoned yesterday for Thursday, they could only offer us 9.50am, or from 1.10pm to get in, so sounds like its going to be busy! We plumped for the earlier option. Staying in the Travelodge on Broad Street, so if anyone has any local knowledge as to where we could go for breakfast prior to Cadbury World that would be great!
Hey Ladyshopper. Broad Street is mostly full of pubs and clubs. Its been a few months since I went up there (of an evening) so it depends how far you want to travel for breakfast.
There is a McDonalds in Paradise Forum at the very end of Broad Street if you are that way inclined. Cadbury World is in Bournville so not near the city centre. I am not sure of any eateries in Bournville as I've only really driven past it (it's very pretty considering it's Brum)
If you chose to go into Birmingham city centre I think there is a pub on Bennetts hill that used to open for breakfast but its a good 20 min (poss 30 min) walk from Broad Street (and that's fairly brisk not an amble).
sorry that's probably no help at all - there are lots of hotels on Broad Street (Hyatt, Jury's Inn) but I assume breakfast is for residents only.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
