Shying away from work this morning - not in the mood! Had a row with OH last night, and it's in that 'not made up but still kinda tiddled off' stage. Fun!

Have you talked it through or are you at the 'hoping ignoring it will fix it' stage? Unless its a case of overtiredness, it never seems to go away till you talk it through and work out why you argued.

Right, I'll run into town tomorrow morning and get an icing bag! Should I use butter icing? Or a different type? The recipe is from 52 cupcakes, but there are a few variations online, one of them has sesame seeds on top so they look more realistic, might do that!

I'd go with standard icing (icing sugar, food colouring, water) as butter icing will melt once out the fridge and you'll get a brightly coloured mush.

It is for the cowboy party tomorrow night, I'm getting a bit stressy about it as I have so much to do in so little time! I'm going to the theatre with OH's parents tonight, which I could really do without but it was planned months ago and I forgot all about it! So that's a night of prep that I've lost! So tomorrow I have to run around town like a madwoman to get eggs, baguettes, big serving bowls, an icing bag and fishnet tights, bake 3 batches of cupcakes, fancify them into mini burgers, prepare and cook a big vat of chilli, prepare and cook Nigella's fancy cocktail sausages and posh party popcorn, cook a big bowl of rice just at the right time for people arriving, tidy the house, decorate it with my *awesome* home made saloon decorations, curl my hair and get ready (including very stressful and lengthy application of false eyelashes!) all for 6pm! OH had better appreciate all of this! I'm excited about it though, I think everyone's got into the spirit and will be wearing good costumes and I got pin the tail on the donkey to play!

I hope you have friends to help you because thats an insane ammount of stuff to do and in all honesty I don't think its possible in one day!

Dont ask about the debts Dinah, I've not had a chance to look at money recently, I literally just go home and vegetate now!

Tsk! Is that likely to change any time soon or are you going to be crazy with it permenantly now?

Asked my 2nd bridesmaid last night, she got all teary. Her mum even more so! So that's 2 out of 3 down. She won't be at the engagement party as shes going off to uni, but on the plus side her mum has said she will pay for her bridesmaids dress (and hopefully shoes when she sees how cheaply I'm doing bridesmaids dresses from Landy!). Mum also told me this morning she wants to buy my wedding dress, no matter if I pick a cheap or expensive one. I still plan to get a Landy one, but thats stil £100-£150 or something I don't have to find. Plus if I'm lucky she'll get the veil and shoes too.

I'm also wearing a size 6 skirt, it is tight and higher up my waist than I think is normal, but I couldn't fit in it at all 3 months ago, so feeling good atm!

NIMs mum called this morning and I answered because he was driving. She called me lovey again. It's scary when she does that. Shes very upset over a personal issue, but I am determined to keep turning the other cheek until I'm blue in the face, give her every oppertunity, just not see her in person until she decides to be nice.

Birdie, how did those oreo cupcakes work out? Might make some for the engagement party if they were tasty and successfull.

Mmm, chip shop dinners! I think you can be excused for that one Poolie.

I think everyone is expecting me to say sorry, but this time it isn't my fault! It sounds really petty now but basically, we've had plans all week to go out tonight but he turned around yesterday afternoon and said we can't go anymore because he's decided he wants to stay in and watch tv - I didn't even get a say in the matter which is what really wound me up! My Grandma has told me to stand my ground though, so I best do as she says.

Crikey - Sounds like a lot there Birdie!! I don't think anyone could blame you for taking a little break at work. I don't know how you've managed!

ETA: NIMs mum is being nice?! Blimey!! That's so sweet of your mum wanting to buy your wedding dress though (and the bridesmaid's mum paying for hers) Well done to the size 6 skirt too, it blows my 'happy to be a size 12' right out of the water!

I'd be !!!!ed too Cinny! Are you at least invited around to watch tv with him?!

I was getting a bit pouty because a MS to pizza hut for next friday was canceleled, so NIM offered to take me (I have cravings!) on saturday night. I was a good little MSE though and said Sunday lunchtime instead, because we have a 50% off voucher! That said, I might cry off in the end, want to reach the 14lbs lost and I'm still 4 short - and eating deep pan pizza is never going to get me there!

The fish shop was not bad. £5.70 for a huge fish and chips with peas. I cannot complain filled me up for the night.

There is always the bedroom excerise to help with the extra 4lbs. I am sure a pizza can be easily worked off ;)

I don't either, I'm not used to actually having to work for a living! I'm used to sitting on here all day with a little bit of work in between! LOL!

It's good to see that you've seen the lure of Landy Dinah! I'm going to have to pull my finger out and try on the Maggie Sottero dress I've seen on there so I know if it's the right one to order! And how nice of your Mum to pay for the dress! I'm so jealous of you fitting into a size 6 skirt, that'll never happen for me thanks to my childbearing hips! LOL!

The Oreo cupcakes were OK, I don't think I did the recipe justice TBH! They're like mini cheesecakes so have to be eaten straight from the fridge to taste the nicest and mine weren't deeply filled enough..and I think I overcooked them! I'm not a good baker really! It was nice to have to eat the leftover Oreos though! Mmmm! I did half the recipe and it made loads!

I think I'm going to have to get up at 6 tomorrow to do everything! It'll all come together in the end! I hope!

I told him while he's watching it I'm going to go out and do something else - I cannot stand Derren Brown! So I'm either going to take my mum out for a drink to wind him up that he can't come or just sit downstairs and catch up on Land Girls. Most likely the latter!

Eek, I completely forgot our challenge is nearing it's end!! No chance of me meeting it now, I haven't weighed myself in about 3 weeks so I don't even know if my sig is right. As for the pizza hut, couldn't you go to Pizza Express instead? They have that 500kcal pizza so you won't feel guilty. I think the 2 for £10 offer on still, so pretty MSE too.

    Morning everyone,

Dinah - wow at being able to fot into your size 6 skirt!! Unfortunatly i am the same as Birdie, i would never get to that size no matter how much weight i lost because of my hips. Actually last night OH commented that he doesnt want me lose anymore weight and he already thinks i have lost too much.

Cinny - sorry to hear that you and OH have fallen out, im sure once you see him in person things will be better.

Well just went on the internet banking to make sure all my balances had updated ad the HSBC CC is now officially under 2800!!!

Oooh thanks for reminding me - knew I was missing something on yesterdays but I assumed it was a chocolate bar or something!

A medium pan pizza is 1336 calories, excluding any dip/salad/starter etc. As 'low impact aerobics' burns 258 cals an hour that would mean a little over 5 1/4 hours continuously doing the dirty..... I think that's illegal in one day?!

I have the hips too, thats why the skirt is around 2" below my ribs! It's a A-line flared one so comes nowhere near my hips. could be used as a tee-pee on low budget camping trips for minpins. You're not in a huge rush if you're not getting married for 18months (ish), you seem to have enough on your plate at the moment anyway without trying to find time to try on a dress.

Yeah I thought they looked cheesecakey. Everything will be out of the fridge and on a bigtable, so I think best to go with things that don't need too much refridgeration. Still trying to find a nice jelly mould!

I think I'm going to have to get up at 6 tomorrow to do everything! It'll all come together in the end! I hope!

    Good luck!!!

I was really good last night, before going around to see my 2nd bridesmaid I did 2 more Dooyoo reviews, and about 15 tracks of STP. NIM caught up on all the surveys and did both accounts bingoport and butlins scratchies too.
