Sorry to hear about work being manic, I suppose at least you don't need to worry about there being no work for the next day like some people? Hope it slows down a bit for you soon though - that poor woman!

Actually got paid today :T £59 into savings, paid the vets bills off and my board. Left with £50 for the week after giving OH petrol money. Should be easy enough!

Those cakes look a bit fantastical Birdie! I can't work out what the different bits are, is it all just coloured icing inside? You'll have to post some pics up when you're done. Gonna have a go at some Hummingbird Blondies tonight, feel I should to be loyal to my hair! Happy Friday anyway, I agree that's awful about that woman being 'talked into' staying! And how exciting about the Dominican too! I'm not at all jealous that I'm only going to Bath in October!!

I think it's just typical american frosting with serious food colouring overload. In this blog the girl using plastic piping bags so you might not need the icing gun afterall Birdie! There's the 'recipe' for the french fries too - turns out it's cookie batter not cupcake! You'll have to let us know how they go!

Shying away from work this morning - not in the mood! Had a row with OH last night, and it's in that 'not made up but still kinda tiddled off' stage. Fun!

Right, I'll run into town tomorrow morning and get an icing bag! Should I use butter icing? Or a different type? The recipe is from 52 cupcakes, but there are a few variations online, one of them has sesame seeds on top so they look more realistic, might do that!

It is for the cowboy party tomorrow night, I'm getting a bit stressy about it as I have so much to do in so little time! I'm going to the theatre with OH's parents tonight, which I could really do without but it was planned months ago and I forgot all about it! So that's a night of prep that I've lost! So tomorrow I have to run around town like a madwoman to get eggs, baguettes, big serving bowls, an icing bag and fishnet tights, bake 3 batches of cupcakes, fancify them into mini burgers, prepare and cook a big vat of chilli, prepare and cook Nigella's fancy cocktail sausages and posh party popcorn, cook a big bowl of rice just at the right time for people arriving, tidy the house, decorate it with my *awesome* home made saloon decorations, curl my hair and get ready (including very stressful and lengthy application of false eyelashes!) all for 6pm! OH had better appreciate all of this! I'm excited about it though, I think everyone's got into the spirit and will be wearing good costumes and I got pin the tail on the donkey to play!

Dont ask about the debts Dinah, I've not had a chance to look at money recently, I literally just go home and vegetate now!

Glad to hear you're still getting some money coming in Cinny! And £50 should be fine to last you a week! How is business?

Oooh, and just had an update on Collapsed Woman, apparently the doctor overprescribed her medication so she has been overdosing for 7 months! So she isn't actually 'Severly Depressed' as she believed, just doped up on nasty medicine! And these are the people we expect to fix us! I'm still not convinced she'll be any better at the job when she comes back but at least she'll be OK health wise and won't collapse on us again!

I've managed to delete a folder in my Outlook - I can see it there in the Deleted folder, but I can't seem to move it out to the non-deleted bit. I don't really want to ask the techies because it's my 'personal emails' folder, full of rubbish that I shouldn't really be getting to my work address! :S

Cancel that, I've done it! Outlook was having a bad morning obviously! OK, on with some real work!

I'd like to do the french fries but I'm afraid my brain will explode if I have to make anything else, I can barely cook one meal without panicking! Luckily I have a friend coming to help, I hope! I'll have to text her and make sure she's still coming....
