Dinah 1 hour's not that bad, and considering how far NIMs family will be coming it's not a lot to ask. Events organiser head on here though - what's it like for car parking if it's in York centre?!:o:rotfl:
I had had that thought too. People are going to be a bit funny if they have to park n ride! Maybe take that one off the list but leave on the rural ones up to an hour away.Today is going to be one of those days i can just tell!! My bank card kept getting declined so went into the bank to find out whats going on, both mine and OHs cards are showing as 'cancelled' on their system but they cant explain why - but dont worry the new ones will be here within 10 working days!!
God that bank makes my blood boil!!
Sorry for the rant!

Offending bank is HSBC, finally had enough of them. We have had so many problems with them and i always let it drop, but this morning was just the final straw. Gotta feel quite sorry for the woman in the bank because i did get really angry, its not her fault but when they cant even tell you why your cards have been cancelled they are really taking the pi55!!
OH was that angry that he has started ringing up to move our direct debits over to the barclays account and has said we will be withdrawing all the money from HSBC and never use it again.

Might not be a bad idea Tete. Think it'd be hilarious to see the end result of it mind. Tired today, might have been my turn to get the coffee today and I didnt so lacking my caffiene(sp?) boost so starting to drag, I even forgot my bookies jobs and I love doing those. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

I'm surprised its HSBC, we've had nothing but good experiences with them, hell they even gave us an 8% regular saver...each.
D has been with them since she was 16 as I understand it. Barclays have never been good with us, I know some people who did their call centre training and they have been told that they are allowed to lie to the callers in order to get business/deal with complaints etc.
Although no where near as bad as A&L, still wondering if I can get that whole nasty episode wiped from the credit rating if I blow up their offices. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
Aye I have to say HSBC have been the best of my banks. A & L were useless beyond belief. Barclays are grand so long as you have no desire to take money out, talk to a real person in a branch, or use online banking!

Im sure sometimes its just pot luck at what kind of service you get from a bank!
We've never had any problems with barclays, where as my mum has had quite a few problems. We have been with HSBC for three years and on average have had to complain about some mess up they have made or the service provided at least 4 times a year! I also have an account with Natwest, OH had one with them before he met me but said he had many problems with them.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I am not too keen on HSBC, mainly because they used to get funny with me paying my bags of change in. I am a big fan of natwest but have been with them years.
Glad you have got it down to just a few venues hehe0 -
Quiet afternoon on here... I had a frustrating day at work as the servers are down for 2 days which means no email, no database, no printing(!), no internet and more importantly, no MSE! What's a girl to do?!
I'm super excited that my debt is under 20k, even though it still looks awful in black and white... Have poured every penny into it in august, so am going to ease up slightly this month - just want to get to the £10k paid off mark
Dinah, look forward to seeing some of you venue possibilities when your list is a little shorterLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Well I should have made some calls and parcelled a load of amazon/risi/ebay parcels tonight but I was bold. I sorted out the laptop to get collected from D's grandads house but that took me ages as I didnt know the website and it kept playing silly b*****s on me. Then I tried to log onto my laptop and, as it has been for the last 2 weeks day on day off, no internet. So I spent 45 mins trying to get through to dell only for it to pass 8pm and the lines to start telling me they were closed *GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR*:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
At this point I was fit to throw my laptop, the books, and anything else that could ever need parcelling/organising through the window without opening it so I went to destress by playing a bit of wow (Which is how D and I met for those of you who dont remember/didnt know). But just under an hour and a half later D came home to me still being on it.
Naughty N.I.M I know. You may begin the scolding.
Poolie, that sucks about your server, when do you guys get back up and running again. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0
