Thanks for the information CMD. OH would need to leave work early so we could get along. It might better for her to take 2 days off that way we would stay over in Bath to save the drive and rushing about plus we could be there for the 4:00pm start and get an evening meal later as you suggest.

Birthday/Wedding Anniversary present I think there.

Yeah, I think 2 days off might be better. The Fishworks restaurant is amazing in Bath too. We loved it :)

As a present, that would go down very well with me. Very romantic and well thought out. We stayed at Saco apartments and they were lush too!!!

Evil drug filled mind plans going into operation. As July we will be clear of everything and also I will have had my annual bonus (Should be a minimum of £2500)

Drugs filled minds make you do funny things. I got a diary for 2010 this morning and I looked at the Run John Run book!

Wow, so what you going to do with your annual bonus? OH will be getting an annual bonus as well! I think we might use it to overpay on the mortgage (when the debt is gone of course!).

Do you own your own house or are you saving for a deposit as well?

Why do I feel your plans might have progressed to have one might blow up the houses of parliament using only a nail file, orange squash and a stress ball in about two hours?

We own a property in Scotland which we let out. I am thinking the bonus will go on something for OH Birthday/Wedding Anniversary since they are the same day. Otherwise it will be savings.

I haven't got that far yet Dinah. At the moment I need to try and move from the sofa so I can put some shoes on to let the doctor prod my back.

Right see you on the other side. This is going to hurt (a bit!)
  • Still feeling unwell but on the day nurse so hopefully I should start to feel better soon.

Snap! We own a property in Scotland (Edinburgh) that we also let out! What a coincidence. So are you living down south now? We moved down south 2 years ago.

Hehe, this thread has gone off on a bit of a tangent this afternoon! I blame drugs and overexposure to Dooyoo!

Hmm, I'd looked at the Thermae Spa but isn't it something like £22 for 2 hours?! Not sure, we do have a few days there and it's a long way away so would be worth doing to say we've done it if you see what I mean, as won't be going back again soon. It's a girlie trip and it would be a nice girlie thing to do. I'll see what they all say.

OH and I had a look online at Bruges and tried to price up how much it would be to book ourselves (ie, book the ferry and hotel separately) and it's lots. I have a feeling that the £189 offer in the agency would be a 4 berth inside cabin (so, sharing with strangers), no meals included, and in the Ibis which looks OK but is a bit out of the way ... I don't know. Oh and although OH gets paid today they're boogered up his 'extras' - car and phone allowance which leaves him a few hundred pounds down for the month and he's not sure if they'll sort it this month or not, so may have to buy lots of petrol (for work) from his wages, which would leave him short for things like booking holidays.

    Sorry - ramble, ramble.
