Tete, that is a booger! I don't really know what to say about the Bruges trip - agencies do tend to get really good deals price-wise, so it might be quite a lot more doing it yourselves...
We booked our safari through Trailfinders as it was so reassuring to speak to someone at an established company who had actually been to the place, even though we could have got a similar package slightly cheaper elsewhere. But anyway, we also got a quote for the Spier hotel (not smart enough to put link in) for 3 nights and it was £381 - we decided it would be cheaper to book ourselves and the cheapest price we got was £277 per night! I did keep saying to the poor man at Trailfinders "are you sure that's not per night?" and "is that definitely for two people?" but it's all good and booked now. Swirly Martin? :money:
So anway, point is sometimes agency windows and the ads in the back of the papers and stuff do work out cheaper. Hope you manage to book something Tete
Oh, and can I also say, since people are talking dream weddings and exciting holidays, there's a cheetah outreach centre near the hotel and I get to cuddle cheetahs - YAY!
Hope your back sorts itself out soon Poolie, sounds painful!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -

Not until after Christmas! So I'm struggling to plan at the moment - on the one hand I'm trying to get kitted out for cold weather and CHRISTMAS, but on the other I'm thinking summer/safari clothes, 2 wedding outfits, immunisations and travel insurance etc it's VERY confusing! Also researching posh zoomy cameras for joint birthday/Christmas/super indulgence, but have started buttering up one of my friends who is already in possession of one... cunning!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
