You really have done seriously well for yourself Poolie! Big thumbs up to you. :D

Good idea on updating your sig, although I think DSM has mellowed out now she can get all spreadsheet happy with the weight challenge.

Morning all, shall I be first to confess not having lost any weight this week? Again. Have been quite bad though and had a yorkshire pud for tea last night followed by syrup sponge with custard :o I enjoyed it though and that's the main thing :D

Wow Poolie, you have done well for yourself! I bet all those year os driving round Hartlepool docks, measuring men for kilts (!) and data entry seem worthwhile now! I'm still trying to find my way really, not too sure WHAT I want to do. I do have 11 GCSEs, 4 A-levels and a degree, but when I left uni I worked 40 hours a week for £800 per month after tax ... and I was 'lucky' to be in an office environment - a lot of my friends were working in shops. I like my current job a lot more and it's much better paid but don't want to do it forever - I still do it though!!

I had some really good career guidance with my prayer partner last night, she made me feel a lot more confident, capable, and open to oppertunities. But there is no rush.

So, second one to weigh in today, and I'm posting a 2lb loss. Pretty pleased with that considering I'm still mid of a heavy TOTM, and I ate 3 gu bites last night (so, so worth it, currently 1/3 off in Sainsburys - buy them!) But since last weeks 4lb gain hasnt entirely gone I am going to finally have to update my sig.

Anyone know how I can actually post a chart? is it a case of screen shot it then put it on that photo hosting site whose name I cant remember?!

Loving Zeezaw from Martins email, am slowly going through my collossal wishlist telling it what price I want to pay for items.

  • Is that the Amazon price thing? Haven't tried it yet, might put my Wainwright boxset in...

I'm sure you'll report a massive half stone loss or something once TOTM finishes! No idea about the chart but like Poolie said, you were sure to shout for help with it!!

Are you going to pass on some soothing career guidance to me tonight then? Please? I've remembered all my fabric and pattern, but have no cotton and have left my notes on my bedroom floor.

I think it'll be a case of screen shot and tinypic-ing it Dinah! Well done on the weight loss too, and I suppose no weight loss is better than weight gain Tete!

What on earth is ZeeZaw? I don't know what it is but I think I want one! Have you seen this from the weekly email btw?

Is that right, I only earned 2p on Ciao yesterday?!?!! I rated loads of people!

ETA - OK so one of the review I posted doesn't have a £ sign next to it - that means I don't earn anything for posting it or anything for rates doesn't it? BUT, is it worth posting these reviews for the experience points?

Aye seen that before Cinny but none in my area. Soothing career guidance last night came in the form of proverbs 31, which discusses being a capable wife and woman. Apologies to anyone who finds this offensive but I'm going to post the passage as it gives me a lot of strength and maybe will do the same for someone else. It refers to wife as it was usually only within marriage women of the time could mature and become an individual in their own right, especially as marriage was so early.

    The Good Wife
10 It is hard to find a good wife,
because she is worth more than rubies.
11 Her husband trusts her completely.
With her, he has everything he needs.
12 She does him good and not harm
for as long as she lives.
13 She looks for wool and flax
and likes to work with her hands.
    14 She is like a trader's ship,
    bringing food from far away.
15 She gets up while it is still dark
and prepares food for her family
    and feeds her servant girls.
16 She inspects a field and buys it.
With money she earned, she plants a vineyard.
17 She does her work with energy,
    and her arms are strong.
18 She knows that what she makes is good.
Her lamp burns late into the night.
19 She makes thread with her hands
    and weaves her own cloth.
    20 She welcomes the poor
    and helps the needy.
21 She does not worry about her family when it snows,
because they all have fine clothes to keep them warm.
    22 She makes coverings for herself;
her clothes are made of linen and other expensive material.
23 Her husband is known at the city meetings,
where he makes decisions as one of the leaders of the land.
24 She makes linen clothes and sells them
and provides belts to the merchants.
25 She is strong and is respected by the people.
She looks forward to the future with joy.
    26 She speaks wise words
and teaches others to be kind.
27 She watches over her family
    and never wastes her time.
28 Her children speak well of her.
    Her husband also praises her,
29 saying, "There are many fine women,
but you are better than all of them."
30 Charm can fool you, and beauty can trick you,
but a woman who respects the Lord should be praised.
    31 Give her the reward she has earned;
she should be praised in public for what she has done.

    New Century Version (NCV)

While this is an old passage it has some suprisingly modern sentiments. This is a very capable, confident, entreprenurial woman who is strong in her own right. And its a really strong example to me for how to strive to be, but that by being married and having a family you by no means loose your identity, but a womans work is literally never done! Oh and if you work hard, you can treat yourself to pretty clothes - how awesome is it that even the bible states this!

What notes are these Tete? I have my fabric and pattern, can't remember what we're doing this week though.
