Don't you just hate it when people tell you what you don't want to hear, even though you know they're right?
I bought two glass kilner jar type things in ASDA for £1 each. I'm gonna try and think of some nice little things to go in them cuz with ribbon round them they'll make alright little Christmas gifts!
Tete, did you manage to book Bruges this weekend?
ETA: Thanks Dinah. I know it is sensible to use my Nan's old one to see if it's worth the money, it's just annoyed me a tad that she is saying have her old one, when she just went out and bought a new one! I kinda think 'well why didn't you just use your old one instead of buying a new one?!' Ah well!
I am with the others on the bike Zig!
I booked our hotel in Brussels for myself, OH and my parents. We decided to stay in Brussels cos we are getting in there late on the Friday night and I will be 7 months pregnant so best to stay in one place. We are going to visit Bruges on the Sat though.
This is where we are staying:

I was impressed I (semi) understood a Poolie technical comment! (Watch him come back now and squash my small technical knatter) It's like the first time you understood one of Dinah's budget/saving posts. Like the heavens open and lots of little angels go 'Ahh-haaa!' or.. something like that.
All I have to say is ................. Well Done!:A;):A;):T

30 mile isnt far! Get on that bike!
I'd want to do it, it's OH I have to convince. I'll try, but we'll end up in the car. I suppose we still have Clumber Park to walk around, and there was some lovely long walks there!
Tete - The apple festival is a bit weird! It's basically a lot of people who are completely potty about Apples and you get to eat lots of free apple slices. Yum!
That hotel is so pretty CMD! Hope you have fun.
Thanks Poolie!!
ETA: Forgot to say (mainly because I said it on my own thread) but, I have my moving out fund account sorted! I completely forgot about my ISA so I'm going to use that. Can update my Sig now and feel like a bit of a grown up.0 -

Yes - happy with that hotel. Got £38 in cashback from lastminute.com on Quidco as well so happy with that. I love Quidco and the way every month a random bit of money drops into my account. It feels like free cash to pay off my debts!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I thought I mentioned it! Was after the whole job-confuffle and spending on my Credit card, needed somewhere to place it all out.
Will go over to you DooYoo and look at the reviews Dinah! Was meant to do another this afternoon but work has been pretty tight (or, it's been pretty tight because of my MSE surfing?) but it'll keep until tomorrow!0 -
