Quorn mince is yummy! The Turkey sandwich was lovely, just way too much of it though! But I ate it all, I know I'm on a Dinahs challenge but my hips are sticking out and I've lost my doughyness :( I need plumping up!

Cinny why are you on the diet if you want to put on weight?!

My sister has a college trip to New York in March, for £450, but she asked me today if I'd go with her instead, cuz she doesn't get on with the people in her class very much. Apparantly she's seen flights for £350. I'd love to go to New York but I'm torn between wanting to save my money!

ETA: CMD that flat sounds great!

I've just remember that my Dad has pencilled us in for next Christmas, to go and stay in his mate's house in France so we can go skiing. So that's more money! I think NYC is gonna have to be a no...

    Sounds very sensible Zig

So, I've spent all day completely rearranging my room, tidying, cleaning, and so on, in an attempt to stop the panicing. And it hasn't worked. Surely its madness to spend thousands on a wedding when we don't have a house?! I can't in good faith agree to the venue, no matter how great it is, because I can't justify spending the money.

Morning everyone! Eeeeks Wendz, so we all have to wait 3 weeks to find out what happens?! He has to get you a ring now, it would be uber-cruel to say that then get you a DVD box set!!

Dinah if you're still panicking you can come and sort my room out if you like! Seriously though is the venue way above budget? Have you spoken to NIM about it?

Thanks Poolie, yeah I hadn't even factored in the proximity to Christmas ... looks like Ferry is the way forward. I really want to go now, my mind keeps wandering!

Everyone else freezing? I had to scrape my car this morning, seems a bit early for all that sort of thing!

Zig, why don't you do a 2010 calendar with pics of the cats? I'm sure all the online digital photo places will do stuff like that ...

What a good idea! Thanks :)

How exciting Wendz! Can't wait to see what happens!

Dinah, how much did you budget for the venue and how much above the budget is the venue you like? It's a difficult one because I see what you mean about the money, but it's your one chance to do it properly and so you'd wanna make the most of it. Depends how fussed NIM is about it all too.

I weighed myself this morning (it was Wednesday wasn't it?) and I have put on 1lb. Can't say I'm that suprised to be honest after the epic meal at Dad's. But still. :( Am officially trying hard now. Chicken stir fry for dinner! :p

Morning Zig, that reminds me I weighed myself this morning too - still 10-7 (though that's 10-7 as opposed to 10-7.5 which I was last week and rounded down) - TOTM coming up (again! How quick?!) so hopfully will have lost a bit next week. Am spinning at 1 - vv scared!

0.5 is better than nothing! (Or putting on, like me)

Ooh I thought about trying spinning! Let us know how it goes. I'm planning on going ice skating with my sister cuz I always feel knackered after that but it's really fun. I also wanna try some exercise classes but they're like £5 a go which will take a fair bit out my budget.

Really annoyed with myself cuz last night I put the remainder of the shepherd's pie in a bowl and thought I'd have it for lunch today. But I forgot to put it in the fridge! What a waste.

Dinah - You only get one chance to do your dream wedding and plenty of chance to get a house. That is the way I would see it anyway.

OH said to me this morning so I'm going to buy those DVDs for your birthday then. He does like to wind me up! It might all be a decoy though and he might do it when I least expect it, arghh the suspense is killing me.
  • Wendz, if you quickly go out and buy those DVDs yourself now, then he won't be able to get them for you ;)

    Well said about the house.

Zig, with the weather as it is your pie will probably have been alright on the kitchen top!

I'm dreading spinning, I think signing up was a mistake! My legs always kill after skating so it must burn some calories! I've just checked on food focus and 60 mins of general ice skating burns 400 calories!
Are you not at uni? Do the have a gym/classes? That's where I do mine even though I'm staff, I only pay about £7 per month and have unlimited use of the gym plus all the classes, student membership is less than that I think though I think they have to pay a lump sum.
