The letter sounds like a good idea CMD. At least she'll know you're thinking of her.
Spoke to OH about moving in this morning, he made it very clear he doesn't want us to have pets straight off, so I made it very clear I'm not leaving Pippin behind, and that he has another good 10 years left him in yet. So OH said that we'll move out in 10years time. So I've now gone from looking for a place to suit two, for a place to suit one small girl and her cat. OH is a grumpy potato. I don't know what has gotten into him lately but he's a right grouch.
Anyways, showed that flat to my brother and sister but still have my cousin to go. We have 40k between us and my Gramps willing to put the rest of the money in. If my cousin gives it the thumbs up I'll be booking us a viewing!
ETA: You know my sister with the £1000 boots? She's just come in from work to say 'What time's tea? Have a got time to nip out and get a laptop?'
She said 'laptop' like most people would a loaf of bread! She's amazing she really is.
As for DooYoo - I've never been given a Crown! I think my reviews are on far too basic things. Still, I have tomorrow all to myself so I'm going to get a few more on my list typed up. 14 more reviews until payout!0 -
That's really unreasonable Cinny! There is a difference between one nice cat, and a pet pig or emu or something slightly more bizare! I still think you should look at that place, you could rent it out for a few years until you are ready to move in. By which point it would have hugely increased in value I should think. Even if you had a few months with no tennant the amount you save you could easily afford to cover a £200 mortgage for 2 months. If you all buy it in cash then you can use the rent money to save to get a second place!
Your sister is a bit short sighted, boots look good now but soon will be out of fashion, but you investing your money in a flat will pay off for years and years.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

OH didnt have much of a choice about having my cat come to live with us!! Is it because your OH doesnt like animals? Or is he just being a grump? My OH was actually scared of cats to begin with but now those two are inseperable!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

I know, but what can I seriously do? I wouldn't give my cat up for the world, nevermind to move in with a stinky boy. If he wants to be as petty as to put our plans on hold because of a cat I'm leaving him to it.
I'm really wanting to book a viewing for that place. I've been thinking it over most of afternoon and I'd love to buy it, to rent I mean. Just a matter of all the fees and the cost of doing it up by myself.
ETA: Flower - I don't know what it is with him! He doesn't like my cat, he doesn't like our dogs but he's all 'rolly on the floor and play with the dogs' with his own. He has worse mood swings than me!0 -
Right, spoken to my Dad. Said I wanted to go and have a viewing with (like Dinah said) the idea to get a mortgage and buy to rent. Then when I'm ready to move out either move in there or sell it on for a bit of a deposit boost.
And my dad just yelled through to say book a viewing, and we'll look into it. yay!0 -

Oh no. My dream house has come out from being under offer to available. I'm all in love again....Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

How exciting Cinny. It is a great idea especilaly if you have got help with the deposit etc. My OH has grown up with a house full of animals and has never been that keen on them. I really want a cat when we get a house one day though, have to persuade him.0

Oooh, how exciting Cinny! Just think of all the decorating you could do!!! I keep looking around my living room thinking what I could do to spruce it up, it's still a little too neutral; we've got some pictures up on the walls now but I was looking through a little M&S catalogue last night and saw some lovely stuff that would make it more homely... but it does mean convincing OH that a dark purple colour scheme is 'Manly'! I don't think it'll work! I really want this though:
I never had pets growing up so I'm kind of wary of having any but OH has informed me that we're having a dog when we move into a house! I'm quite happy to have a cat right now but OH doesn't like cats so we're doomed to remain pet-less for a few years!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
