I guess so, since your heart does most of the work for the baby too. Plus stress is a major trigger and especially the first time a lot of women will be doing the whole 'where am i going to get the money from, I hope its healthy, oh no what if I drop it' panic in an almost continual loop.
I think it is a matter of trying to rationalise the worries though. I took the attitude of everything is going to be okay for the 1st 12 weeks as the way I saw it, if something bad is going to happen, there is nothing you can do.
Also, when I had suspected swine flu the other week I remained calm and decided I wouldn't be taking the vaccine. Luckily it wasn't but there is a lot to be said for trying to remain stress free.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I know there is, its just wheather you can mentally switch off the worrying! I'm impressed by your attitude to it all. At least in two weeks you'll have the all clear that the baby is healthy and developing well and thats it, stress is completely over until the giving birth part.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Thanks. Well to be honest I like being in control and with pregnancy my body is totally out of control so I have adpated by trying to focus on staying healthy and keeping stress free for my mental health and also for the babys.

Yeah everyone around me seems to think I'd be a good mam, its just me who is terrified by the concept.
Anyone get rightmove alerts? I think they've forgotten about me. Either that or no one sells houses in autumn.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Next door and next door but one are having house extensions and the upheaval is exactly what I expected cos the blooke next door but one is doing it and he thinks he owns the street. I've found him in my garden twice and know he's been in it another couple of times. They took the fence down and put this stupid wire thing up which really is inadequate and means my garden isn't secure so my Staffy keeps slipping through and wandering. The funny thing is that when they laid the concrete foundation for next door Wes must've gone through the fence and there are paw prints in the concrete! All this is before scaffolding is used and I just know we're gonna come home one day and find a load of scaffolding in our garden which may even prevent us getting out of the back door!!!!
*Puts on his lawyer cap*
You know you can go down to his house tell him to stay out of your garden.
Alternativly put up a sign saying any and all unauthorised access to your property will be charged at £5000 per second and that entry is considered to be acceptance of these terms of contact.
Or option 3 is to go to the police / courts and seek an injunction against him doing this.
What one you like?
I'll catch up on the rest later, I've to go back to work after only 25 mins over certain managers being *insert several expletives here*This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
clearmydebts - you must be at a similar stage to my friend. She has her 20 week scan next week. Are you going to find out what it is? My friend is going to find out so am all excited as to what it is.
I was 9lb when I was born and my sister 9lb 10. Poor Mum although she had to have a c-section for sis and then obviously with me too.
Dinah - sure you would make a great Mum0 -
I'm a bit concerned. I haven't been broody in over a year, but the last few days its really started coming back. Plus a friend of mine has said when I've had mine and am a childminder (this idea is really growing on me) she'll be first in line to have me take care of her little un during the day.
How much do childminders charge anyone? Obviously we're a very long way off from that, but would be good to know for the future.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Just googled and it came up that the average is between about £150-200 for a week per child.0

Grief!!! Thats about £650 a month!!! If you were working minimum wage I can see why no one works, you'd only be taking home a couple of hundred a month, which would probably largely go on travel to and from said work!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
