  • Eek, so does that mean it's a big baby CMD? I forget how far along you are?

Hang on, re-read and understand - they had the wrong weight for you in the first place - sorry!

My Oh always comes out as almost underweight, now that is depressing! He is 6ft 4 and pretty thin.

Not to be a complete pain as well but be careful when doing work to a flat, if you are changing the windows you may need planning permission, if you are changing the style or material, only identical replacements are permitted without permission.

Not a pain at all, that's really useful, thanks! We've got (very unsecure, rattly) sash windows at the front of our flat and we've had quotes from a specialist sash window man for a refurb of one (£800) up to replacing them all (like for like) which is a jaw-dropping £3000 and we've also had quotes for normal uPVC double glazing (£1000) to uPVC sash-effect windows for £1900 - where to start?!

You're doing so well at your weight loss! I'm sure you guys will both hit target - weight always fluctuates from day to day, so I don't tend to record mine until it has stabilised for about a week. However I seem to have plateaued at 10 stone 2, but I am short and don't want to resemble a barrel :D I just want to get under 10 stone by the end of the challenge now - apparently 8 st 1 - 10 st 1 is my 'healthy range' but I can't imagine EVER seeing the other side of 9 stone!

  • Yikes Poddle, and windows are such boring things to spend money on aren't they? I'd much rather have a pretty dress! Or several, if was going to spend £1k+!!

Considering I've lost almost a stone, it seems like a lot to lose but I really don't know where from! My stomach feels flatter but that's about it. Well I'm off for some lunch whilst we're on the subject :D

I am nearly 19 weeks now. Just have a little bump. Need to weigh myself but I didn't put anything on in the first 14 weeks. I don't think I will have a big baby but who knows, I could explode!!!

    Morning all!

When I went for my first scan at the hospital they had me down as weighing something like 84kg (I weighed 62kg pre-pregnancy) and the doctor weighed me twice and seemed to think I was swindling him cos I was weighing 63kg or something like that (rather than 84kg).

That is some difference. They must have been expecting me to waddle into the hospital, as I am only 5ft 4in!!!

Lol how pregnant are you, is it 12 weeks the first scan? I have a SPUC charity badge and it is of a babys feet at 10 weeks, they're perfectly formed and each about half the size of a little finger nail, its amazing.
Dinah - you are engaged a month today! Wow, that went quickly!

Wow, feels longer! Think this is an excuse for champagne?! Seems a while since I had any!

That seems like an awful lot Poddle! We're contractors to a group of listed properties and fitted new sash windows to one of the properties not that long since and it certainly wasn't £800 per window! Are they like, big Georgian windows?

As for the weight thing, I think I've lost about half a stone. (haven't weighed myself in a while!) Think I'll re-kick the challenge in October to loose 5 pounds or something as I'm pretty happy with my weight, I'd just like to be a bit more trim really!

CMD - Was everything okay at the scan? Must be pretty exciting!

Got all excited this morning when I went into town and had to wear my.. Autumn Coat!! :D Also when I got home I had a free copy of MoneyWise magazine waiting for me, so I've bought it to work to flick through later on.

I've never got this 'Autumn Coat' thing, I wear my woolen coat year round! Even wear it inside most days!

Ooh and Autumn coat!! I only have aa few winter coats but could do with some spring/autumn ones as I am either too hot or cold in both them seasons!

Yes, the scan went well. I have had 2 and the sonographer was horrible the 2nd time but I won't go into that. My next one is the 1st Oct and I can't wait as I will be able to see much more. The last time I though the baby was opening and closes it's mouth and it was it's intestines!!! Don't ask! Ha ha!
