so as well (sorry to post twice) I wrote 3 reviews yesterday and I have 1650 pending points!?
    what does it all mean!?
    Sorry!!
  • Morning Tink,

You don't get points for reading other people's reviews - but it's an etiquette thing, if you read and rate theirs they'll read and rate yours in return and every time they do you get 15 points. You also get 500 points per review. 100 points are worth 10p, 500 are 50p, 1,000 are £1 and so on.

You can cash in an Amazon voucher once you have 20,000 (or £20), or get a cheque once you reach 50,000 (£50). Don't know why the points are pending before they validate to be honest, I think it takes about 72 hours before they're yours to cash in?

Hope that helps. Sooo tired today :( And dress making tonight - nerv-cited!!

I think it takes a while to validate so they can check people aren't just copying and pasting gibberish to rack up huge amounts of points, so if your points are validated they have passed the security check.

  • Good morning everyone

Hope you're all well. I haven't been around for ages cos things have been all up in the air with the kitchen and now I'm stressed cos next door's house extension is affecting our garden.

Things have not been good debt wise over the past month. The Virgin Credit Card payments have not gone to plan because I paid too much off initially and left myself short (doh!) so only managing about £100/month atm. Also the job cocked up my wages and overpaid me so have spilt the repayments over 2 months so I won't get a proper pay until November. It's a pain cos this month the car was due it's first MOT (cost £250 for work ), the tax is due at the end of the month and now one of the dogs has to go and have a tooth out cos he broke it and that's going to cost over £200 :eek: I'll never moan about our dental bills again! Plus the car tax expires on 8th October!

The kitchen is still in a state of flux cos we're waiting for my dad to come up and do the tiling and that won't be for a few weeks yet.

Next door and next door but one are having house extensions and the upheaval is exactly what I expected cos the blooke next door but one is doing it and he thinks he owns the street. I've found him in my garden twice and know he's been in it another couple of times. They took the fence down and put this stupid wire thing up which really is inadequate and means my garden isn't secure so my Staffy keeps slipping through and wandering. The funny thing is that when they laid the concrete foundation for next door Wes must've gone through the fence and there are paw prints in the concrete! All this is before scaffolding is used and I just know we're gonna come home one day and find a load of scaffolding in our garden which may even prevent us getting out of the back door!!!!

On the brighter side, I have to thank Wendz for a comment about bingoport. I'd been using it and kept having my points redemptions refused and didn't know why but I've started doing the same as Wendz and am hoping it won't be refused this week. I want that Amazon voucher!!

Also the New York trip is looming (31 sleeps and counting) and there is def something going on cos my boyfriend has had 2 secret errands to run this week and he text me on one of the them to ask for the address of the hotel and he needed it urgently  I'll keep you posted.

Right, better go and sort stuff out for work but hope everyone's ok and if anyone wants to kick me up the debt free backside (again) feel free :wall:

Well you still gotta act suprised Pilchard!!!

Sorry the extension sounds like such a nightmare, how long is it due to go on for.

£100 a month is still better than the minimum payment, remember that when you get angry at it. What are you planning to do when the 0% finishes?

  • Oh poor Pilchard, it never rains but it pours! You'll soon be back on an even keel once the wage repayments have finished and you've got the MOT and dog tooth out the way!

Sounds like OH has something exciting planned in NYC...!!!

Gosh, sounds like romance is afoot in New York - exciting!!

Ugh, building work sounds like a pain, especially when it's someone else's and you're not even going to benefit! Poor you, Pilchard :( Just try not to lose sight of NY and debtfreeness!

We've been having quotes done for various work on our flat and I was going to post and ask for some advice, but when I think about it, it stresses me out as there's so much to think about, and a very short time frame if we're going to get it done this year (central heating and new windows) otherwise we'd wait another whole year*.

Not to mention the HUGE expense! Arrgghh, why does homeowning have to be so complicated?!

    *And another cold winter...

Ahh glad I can be of help Poolie. I never get refused vouchers so you should be fine. Sorry to hear of all the problems, things can only get better! How exciting about New York as well!

6 day till payday, seems years away. Got to go and get sisters birthday present at lunch, she is being difficult and doesn't know what she wants so am getting her a Topshop voucher as she is a clothes lover. We are meant to be going for a meal tomorrow to an expensive restaurant (eek), not sure where though!
