Hopefully you will manage to find something that ticks all the boxes. Must have been good though!
Myself and OH have been looking at some flats that we could potentially use the keyworker scheme to part own. They look nice and he has a friend who he works with who lives there so we are going to go down and have a look at them when we get a chance.0 -
(yes, anything under 2 years is considered short notice)
It's crazy isn't it?! As for the venue, I'm sure you'll find something even better that ticks more boxes. Must be a relief to find something you like already though!
Sounds like you've all had nice weekends! Mine's been pretty dandy, went to see Gamer with OH on saturday morning then spent the afternoon in couch potato mode watching really bad telly and eating too much. Managed to get my Grandad a birthday present too and stayed way under budget with it so I'm chuffed.
Is anyone actually managing to cope with the dark mornings yet? I still can't drag myself out of bed before 6am.0 -
Morning Cinny - I know it's so miserable when the dark mornings start isn't it? All you want to do is curl up under the covers. Even by the time I left the house I wasn't sure whether to put my lights on, but I didn't - trying to hang on to summer that bit longer!
Post-TOTM weigh in this morning and I'm 10st7.5!!! So 3.5 lbs less than this time last week - scary isn't it? So only 1.5lbs off my stone
Right, going to try and get my teeth into some work while I feel vaguely motivatedHope everyone's had a good weekend!

Yey very nearly there Tete. I've got a skirt on today which is usually VERY tight and today is just marginally uncomfy, very chuffed.
Cinny in all honesty I don't try to get up before 6am! My alarm is set for 6.45 and I try to get up by 7.15.
I did a spreadsheet of cenue costs in the area for ones we've seen last night. Absolute cheapest is 4k, the one we love is 6.8k, I'm going to remain optemistic that a perfect one will come up, with a free Saturday or Friday in September, for under 5k.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I get up at 8am so I don't see the dark. Although OH gets up at half 6 and has to turn the light on so he can see. He always covers my head with the duvet so i don't get blinded.0

Almost 7k?! For one night? Are they serious? That's more than I earn in a year - eek!
I'm sure you'll find somewhere else that you love just as much though, with the days you want and in budget. There can't be just one pretty place to get married in your area?Oooh, Hobart house looks lovely! It doesn't seem too expensive either, how much will be it when you go?
It'll be £999 for the week we want to go, so we're saying £170 each. All excited about it! But saying that I'm excited about the new bath that's getting fitted today, so it doesn't really take much.0 -
Morning everyone!
Manic moring here, we have at the last minute decided to go and visit my mum for a few days as OH has a few days off work.
Dark mornings here are not the problem - its the the builders arriving on site opposite the house for work at 7am standing around talking loudly for an hour n half before actually starting work!!
Anyway dont talk too much while im away, it takes ages to catch up with all the pages!!
See you in a few days.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Fairly quiet on here this morning.
Dinah - Shame the venue you like is so expensive and doesn't have enough room or they give you a room for you and NIM.0 -
Average spent on a wedding in the UK Cinny is £22k! Basically if you're on a lower budget you have two options, go to a village hall or cricket club or something for the reception or go abroad!
Our current favourite remains the very fancy one we'd have to have on a weekday, but a close second is this one, which is cheaper and there is still one Saturday left for next September. The grounds are lovely, although the room is quite bland. That said we could probably make it better with some kind of decoration.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Morning Poolie, very busy here unfortunately
sick to death of work, roll on half term when it'll be a bit quieter! My work to-do list is actually longer than me personal one for a change! Have a couple of reviews to write though, going to try and get those done at dinnertime. Checked my bank and have a grand total of £20 left. Trying not to touch that though and survive on the £22 in my purse til Friday (payday) instead. Shouldn't be too bad as won't be seeing OH til Thurs because of sewing class, and he's just been paid so I think he can treat me!
ETA - Ooh Wynyard, v posh, I remember going to a wedding here when I was v little I remember the marble statues and the lakeThat said Judges is also very very nice, with lovely grounds. Friend got married there last year and I don't remember it striking me that the room was bland!
