OrkneyStar Remember the SMt buses well.what age am I?:rotfl:Remember the orange and green buses too. Always avoided the orange ones as they used to stink of rubber.
Toots how are you doing?
Lady-L hope you are OK honey x
Jo Totally fallen out with you. Spoke to you on farm town and you blanked me!;)
DS2 and HRH decluttered to school. I've been up all night with aches and pains in places I never knew I had plus burning up/freezing. Whatever HRH had I've now got it (well I do tell them to always share so it's my fault:rolleyes:). I have a telephone consoltation with the Dr this morning so I'll mention how I'm feeling to her and see what she says. Was scared to take pain killers last nigh as I wasn't sure how they would go with my other tablets so I need to ask about that too. My list is slightly smaller but I'm not sure how much I'll get done today with how I'm feeling. Cause I was feeling rotten last night DS1 made a pot of his tomato and herb soup which went down a treat. Sometimes he can be so thoughtful.Funfairs list of daily dreads

my own little extra today......
phone the HA as our lovely neighbours have took down a fence panel so they can park their car in the garden , which has now resulted in our gate being really wobbly and can't open or close properly  and more importantly our gate is 5ft high as is the fence so if they are reversing out of their garden they WILL NOT see a small child coming out of our garden until it is too late and this is not acceptable IMO. if anything happens to Abiane i will personally hold the neighbours and the HA responsible!!
surely there is health and safety issues about it - the gate being wobbly, not seeing a small child, no drop kerb, a huge mound of mud to go up once up the kerb(having very little control of the car) and then car going through our fence, etc
we always have our gate closed on the catch but anything could happen - a visitor who doesn't close the gate properly and Abiane decides to be naughty and go out of the gate just cos it is open...... there are so many possible scenarios that i just don't want to think about it!0 -
Morning all
another one here with the exam results (DD1's GSCE's) tomorrow so good luck to all who have exam results tomorrow.
My bedroom is still a pit, but I'll need a day or so and some manual labour to get it changed round so its going to have to wait for a while.
Made a booboo re taking leave, well I'm signed off anyway but we had (myself and OH) taken next week off as leave in order to do some things with the girls, however DD1 starts college on tuesday!! So we don't know what to do, I suppose we'll see what her timetable is and try and work round it.:o
Managed to rescue out washing as the downpour descended yesterday evening. I also aired the tent as OH off tomorrow for an event.
So, today, well I've written myself a huge list on ReminderFox so I may plow through that, got a few phone calls to make and some batch cooking to do.
I may indulge myself and watch some Come Dine with me later.:D
I'm off to find some food as hungry. Back later.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

I pointed out that there is a flylady for every eventuality... Dusty said it reminded her of the smurfs
so you need to find the smurf equivalent of your flylady persona... although maybe you'll need some counselling first :rotfl:Group therapy is always available free of charge on the thread (as long as it's flying-related, obviously - in case you missed it, Pigpen's been telling us off for gossiping again
)
Oh dearCan I be Farmer Smurf, then
I'm afraid it's impossible to change my avatar atm, but one day
In my HHC, I cleaned out the fridge - there had been a disaster involving some defrosting pigeon breasts, and it looked like the scene of a horror movie at the back  Needless to say, it gleams nowI've done an online order, too, to take advantage of a £12 coupon :T
Off to update my list, and put the kettle on

Morning Everyone!!! :hello: :hello:
Just a quickie to say Helllllllloooooooooooo
I'm missing everyone, and being on the thread.
WE HAD A GREAT TIME WITH TOOTS!!! :T:T:T:T:T:T
She is of course lovely, as I'm sure everyone can imagine. We were all overwhelmed by her hospitality, and generosity. She plied us with plates of cakes and biscuits, and lovely coffee. Toots your home is lovely, and the colours in the LR are so perfect. Really relaxing. How's the new carpet? I was very envious of your lovely kitchen, and space age water filter machine
Toots you were such an angel :A and the girls haven't stopped enjoying Auntie Toots' Special Bags. They were so spot on Toots, how did you do it?????????They've dipped in and out of them every day. J particularly loves unloading everything all over the floor, she's having a whale of a time! It was very kind, and incredibly considerate - Thank you.
I'm so glad to have finally met you Toots, although I felt like I already knew you. You're a very strong lady, and if I didn't know what was happening in your life, I'd have had no idea. You made everything look effortless, and I'm sure it wasn't. Hope you weren't too tired after we left.
Calling all Aga users! The holiday house we're staying in has a lovely aga. I've never used one before, so I'm having a great time cooking on it. It's a 2 oven one. Any tips/hints/invaluable advice for me please?
Flying.... I've gently and carefully cleaned the aga, which sadly was pretty grubby, but looks lovely now; we've put the wheely bin out, and DH is cleaning the kitchen.
I'm off to make a picnic now...

You are right of course, sounds scary. Have you had a word with them, or are they not the kind you can speak to?

Aha, just remembered (foggy head) THATS what I wanted to do, get some small baskets and sort through my food cupboards as I have various ingredients scattered everywhere. I want to get all sauces in one, all herbs/spices in another, etc.
Right I'll pop out to get some in a mo.;)DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08
