Looks like my party at work on Friday is going to be bigger than I thought. Have already cleaned my locker out. I was really touched yesterday when the guy who comes to fix things said he would have come to see me on Friday but he is away on holiday.

Hope you can enjoy your last few days! I've had some lovely emails from people in response to my "I'm leaving" emails and status update on linked in! People who I really didn't think would be that bothered actually seem to have noticed that I was useful... bit late now

Got up and went to the gym, but AF made an unscheduled visit and I'd forgotten to put my mooncup in my bag :o so had to come home. Binmen have yet again half-emptied my bin (how do they do that? I thought they were supposed to put it on the lorry, but I think as it has so little in it they just tip it into another bin and don't turn it upside down properly), so I'm going to have to call the council later to ask them to come back and do it properly.

Weather is horrid here too - I'm glad I did all the laundry yesterday! I've got plenty of other stuff that needs doing - I might even brave a trip into town after my car phone kit has been removed from my car... and I don't think I'll be able to keep avoiding the ironing much longer :D

    Morning all

I really must get some flying done today!

Going to start with finding the kitchen and my dailies and then the downstairs will get hoovered all of it. More taxing about today but not as much as yesterday.

DD has gone off to Alton Towers today - shame it's going to be terrible weather [

Might be good as it could reduce the crowds;) How is she feeling about tomorrow?

Hope - I was most upset yesterday that you hadn't come to visit me!

DS is watching TV and DD is waiting to go onto the computer so I think I'll have a go at the hall and stairs.

    HHC anyone?

  • Well I have managed to get most tasks done this week...but do feel a bit guilty as DH is at home and keeps doing tasks from the lists! He loves them! They really appeal to his organisational brain. So I think I will just keep leaving them around and see what remains to be done by the end of the day. Sneaky or what?

DH said that about the queues ;) She's cool about tomorrow, thanks for asking :A She is the only person she knows who hasn't made up her mind about college, yet, so that's tomorrow's biggie :eek::eek:

Does your DS get his results tomorrow, too  DS who's in Y9 has been told that there are too many students getting results (Y10 and Y11, too) so the Y9s can't get theirs until they're back at school on 8th Sept :mad::mad:

Can someone fill me in on why there are so many Smurfs around, please  I had a bad experience with them on a German Exchange visit about 30 years ago, so may need to switch off avatars :o :rotfl:
