    Morning all

another one here with the exam results (DD1's GSCE's) tomorrow so good luck to all who have exam results tomorrow.

Same for me, hope everybody gets what they deserve.

DS1's are tomorrow (he is Yr10) his year are the first to be doing the bulk of their's early so he has more to do next year (only Eng Lang, maths modules and science modules) and obviously they can do resists. School will be anxiously comparing Yr10 and Yr11 results although academically they are different cohorts. Our Yr11 go in the morning and Yr10 after 12:00 for their results. Some of our Yr9s did science modules but I doubt they will be allowed in for their results as it is only a module.

Floors mopped, wash 1 on the line, wash 2 in the machine.

SS - AGA tips - check the thermometer each morning to gauge the heat. Limit the amount of cooking you do on the hotplates (left one to boil, right to simmer, milk etc) as this reduces the temp of the ovens.
Top oven - top is the hottest so like a grill approx 220, as you move the shelves down the heat reduces. Jacket spuds and pizza cook on the floor of the top oven. Lower oven is for simmering HTH

Need to help DS1 get out the door for golf, already lost DS2 to canoeing.

Enjoy it while you've got it. Hard boiled eggs I do on the top - so do them while you need to use the hotplates for something else otherwise it's a waste.

I've called the electrician who is going to come round either next week or when he gets back from holiday. And a pest-control company who are sending someone round this afternoon to check on what's making the racket in the attic! When I said I wouldn't go up there in case it was a spider, he said he hoped it wasn't, as if there was one I could hear he'd be in for a shock.

Better have a shower and then do my shopping before they turn up!

We've got squirrels in ours. You can hear them scampering about. That's something else on the list to sort out. Not sure how though. When I spoke to the pest control people at the council they were going to charge approx. £200 to put poison down then come back a week later. But if it didn't work then it would cost the same again to repeat the process. A colleague of DH's suggested putting poison down mixed with cereal...apparently that works, but I don't really like the idea of killing the squirrels at all. We really need to find and block the hole where they are getting in.

Flyingwise...have put some washing in the TD. That's it so far. Will tackle the bedroom when DD2 is in bed. It's a bit of a mess at the moment.

Need to pop out and get an anniversary card for DH....9 years today! Unfortunately I'm working tonight and tomorrow so we're going out for tea with the girls on Friday.

Morning all I have decluttered my e bay parcels, the letter to the council to tell them I am still enetitled to single adult discount and a mobile phone to be recycled - couldn't fit it in the postbox so it had to go with the ebay parcels AND decluttered the glass and plastics to the recycling bins at the same time - I love 'two bird with one stone' errands:D:D

Zoe you picked the same smurf as me and for the same reason BUT the pics are different and I am not going to squabble!

I have the Living room list and the bedroom list to do so off I go (in a minute)
    DS has reappeared...hang on
