Dollydaydream Ouch! that fall sounds terrible. I hope you re okay now.
ajmoney To freeze cakes you just need to wrap them up well. They will keep for months. Buns in cases are not so successful as the cases come off them. I freeze so my hungry hoards can't eat them all in one go.
Jennybee I hope your DH has more luck on the job front. It is so frustrating when you know they can do it. Mine is just moping which is driving me demented.
hex That is so annoying. Its not as if country roads have suddenly appeared all over the country! Why are they always so surprised when they can't get to us? Even our dustbin lorry can't turn around on our hill and they still send it and the recycling lorry.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

These are sponge. I tend to freeze them for no more than a couple of months, but no one has ever complained when it's been longer
Thanks. Was thinking of making one later to cheer up OH as his dad is in hospital and it is a worrying time for him. Although it might be tough to make enough to freeze tonight so I might just do individual ones that he can take to work as well. Already got a roast chicken dinner on the go!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Rain stopped play but wheelie bin almost full - well it is full but I like it overflowing.
All kids home at the moment but one due out again in 20 so just time for a cuppa.
Still haven't got around to finishing the floors and haven't even started today's list.
Hex - I'm quite likely to be going to Mr T tonight **shudders at the thought** so I can look for your lunch bags if you like. What is your budget? Sorry can't help with the shoes but if it is any consolation I still have 3 pairs of school shoes/1 pair of golf shoes/2 pairs of astro shoes to get yet plus DS3 PE is awol and too small anyhow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I didn't do the oven yesterday as it is absolute marathon of a task but I am not sure I can leave it much longer. There is a chicken roasting in there and every time I open the door to baste it I am greeted with a lot of smoke, so my question is...what is the best way to clean the oven? We have tried numerous ways in the past but they don't work very well (hence why it is smoking). Not sure I will tackle it tonight but I will have to do something with it before the week is out :eek:MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I used the oven pride the one with the bags so you can get the shelves clean. It was on offer in Wilko's the other day. I did mine and it looks like new.
Mine should look like new as it is only a year old. Not sure there is a Wilko's nearby but I am sure I will find it somewhere else.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Calm has finally returned to my house!
The two little monsters (mine and my friends LOs) have gone to macdonalds for their tea! Ive had them all day so my friend picked them enough and take them away to allow my sanity to return.
Ive finished my kitchen, made a chicken casserole which is in the slow cooker and the bones are making stock on the cooker, which will be turned into soup.
These will all be tranferred to the freezer, in readiness for working next week!
I think it was Sunnygirl who asked!! YAY!!! I have a job......full time in an office about 10 minutes from home.
Kazwookie - feel free to come by and see me whenever your visiting!!! Im j25 on the M4. So hopefully wouldnt be too far out of your way when youre on your way home!
Holly - thanks so much for my chocolates and wine....there was really no need! I didnt notice until after you left I forgot to open the chocolates when I made the tea!!! You and neveah are both really lovely and the little one cracked me up - shes so sweet and funny. Hope you managed to get the TV set up ok xx

Im taking them swimming tomorrow if I can walk - which reminds me, Rosepink - I went to Bodypump - which is aerobics with a barbell. Its great but when you havent been for a while, or in my case - months.....it kills!

Thanks Dusty - £10 each max ideally though tbh not fussed what I pay as long as they are the 'right' ones. I try hard not to make any of the boys suffer for my economies if I don't have to! I just hate shopping, so it helps if I know that X supermarket are likely to have what I want. Dont want to trail round all four thats all. Also if you are in Mr. T you might want to check the Le Crueset - there is a post on Grabbits about stupidly reduced stuff.
Children fed, beef casserole on for us. DH was meant to be on an overnight but is coming home instead which is good news :T. Need to go and get some beans and potatoes from the garden for dinner but just CBA. Mind you given that we are currently happily running at 50% of our normal monthly food budget I will go and do it right now.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

I've nipped to Asda to get some more mince as mine hadn't defrosted for tea and I needed a few other bits anyway - the kids played up all the way round and DD needs her mouth sewing up so she can stop using it! Anyway tea is now cooked just waiting for DH to arrive home as he's bringing some chips with him as he decided that's what he wanted.
Probably won't get chance to finish the LR tonight now so will probably be tomorrow.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20
