  • Toe-tickling Tuesday ~ Living room, Hall and Stairs - DONE!!!

managed to get this all done first thing, it wasn't too bad!

once DD had gone i made a start on the painting, cut in all round the edges and then started rolling, got half way round one wall, leant on the toilet lid with my knee and it bloody broke on me  into about 10 pieces all with pointy bits on them, scrapped half the skin off my knee, it was bleeding for about 10 minutes non stop and now is stinging like mad, i can't bend ot straighten it with out wanting to cry out in pain!

really need to clean it up, what with it being the toilet lid and around it is specks of paint from the rollering, no idea what to clean it with tho as i know it will hurt when i do it and besides i don't think we have anything that i could use, do have some germoline for once it is clean tho!!

means i am gonna have to go back to wearing trousers now - i have lived in my skirts for the last 4 months!!

Dolly you could try cleaning it with a mild solution of boiled water and salt - if you don't put too much salt in, it shouldn't sting too badly.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Are you ok chick sounds like a nasty accident. I would stick with the skirts to get fresh air to the wound. If you can't move it could you have done further damage maybe you should go get checked out. Hugs xx

thanks, i used boiled water to clean it and then the only other thing i could find was some anbesol liquid, so i dabbed som of that on, which didn't actually sting but the water did

i do have a few long skirts i could wear but don't actually like them that much, in fact i don't particularly like trousers/long skirts at all anymore, not since i lost 2 stone! didn't think about getting air to the wound though, it must be quite a deep gash as i have cleaned it but it is bleeding again, will see how i go and then i might give the nurse a ring! xx
  • Hi everyone.

Back from our hols in not so sunny North Wales. We had a lovely time though and the girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Just got a heap of washing to deal with now.

We got back on Sunday but I was working yesterday daytime then working again last night so didn't manage to get on here yesterday.

Not done any flying yet as I took the girls for a picnic in the park then came back with a headache so I took a cocodamol and had a chill out with the cutains closed for an hour when DD2 went to bed. DD1 busied herself with glueing and sticking for a bit.

Huge, huge hugs for Serena and GnB. So sorry for your losses.

So sorry to hear your news Fee.....please do pop back when you can and let us know how you're doing or just let off steam here. Hugs for you. x

Hugs also for Elly, Jinky and anyone else that's going through it at the moment. Read back a bit but not much so sorry if I've missed anything major.

Suppose I should get on with a few bits. Was going to go to the gym while DH takes the girls swimming when he gets back from work but I might suggest he takes the girls while I get tidied up here. Won't get much chance this week otherwise as I'm working Wednesday and Thursday night and on Friday we're going to have a chill out night together as I'll be working when it's our wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

Sounds like DD2's awake now so I'll see you all in a bit. Will get some washing sorted and do a bit in the lounge so I can cross a few things out. That always makes me feel a bit better.

See you in a bit. x

Jo...have you got a new job?

tea tree or lavender oil if you have any, in fresh boiled water

Maybe numb the area with the old bag of peas before cleaning:confused:
