The magic words the OP needs to use when contacting JCP are- "104 weeks linking".

If the last SDA claim ended because they started work- not failing the PCA medical - then they can reclaim SDA and NOT ESA. The ESA claim that has been made should be treated as a SDA claim. They will need new sick notes for the new SDA claim.

Because there has been so big an error made I have had to send a letter off to the manager at the job centre, that is the first step which I have done today, the second step as I explained before is that you have to ring up and register a claim even if it is for ESA that is the only way they can put a claim through now as the SDA no longer exists...Hopefully once the managers letter and my discontinuation letter go in with the medical certificate this will then lead to my SDA being re instated....

It has already been established stazi that the linking rule applies to me by my calls mentioned earlier in the thread to my local job centre....

I didnt see the point in mentioning in last night but when I checked the DMG relating to SDA the linking rules didnt seem to cater for WtW benficiaries the way IB and ESA do.

I wish they would change the name of the DMG.

    I am the DMG! :p

(Sorry OP, back to topic! :o )
    Gone ... or have I?

    Update....

In a nutshell it has been another fustrating day, have had to explain twice what SDA is as apparently they only train their opoerators on one beenfit and they don't have much training at that (supervisors words not mine )

Anyway got through to a guy who was really helpful and said that they would try and get it reinstated once they have everything in...I also have to correct the claim form that the guy filled in over the phone as he has made so many mistakes including putting down that I was working  when it is my husband that works....Anyway he said to correct everything on the form and then send it in when I have my medical certificate, plus the managers letter and my discontinuation letter....he aslo said that if I could get the doctor to backdate my certificate for 8 months they would backdate the payments though I think that any doctor will not do this but I have an appointment on Monday to try. Failing that I said I would be appealing for it to be backdated on the grounds of misinformation...

So who knows what will happen it'll be a case of wait and see...
