Disabiity benefit

I have fibromyalgia and last year I was still on Severe Disablement allowance but I lost it when I returned to work as I was working supposedly full time (20 hours a week)
Been ill since I was 14 years old and it comes in relapses and remissions...Anyway I had hoped to find another job fairly quick after mine came to an end at the end of December but it hasn't happened. My health since June has since taken a downturn and I know now i would struggle very much to carry out a job of 20 if I could do it at all..I put the job seeking on hold as we are looking for a bigger place to live and it involves moving to a different area so felt there was no point looking in our current area...
Anyway someone from our support group and a good friend has suggested I go back on benefits which I really don't want to do as I hate taking them but I am beginning to think that as at the moment the maximum hours I could work at a very big push would be 10 and even that would be detrimental to my health maybe I should...I am a little put off by the new employment benefit though as I was told by the officials that you have to go for repeated medicals and the thought of going through that again puts me off as I don't have a supportive doctor this time around...
"It's one of those illness apparently"....
So anyway my point being is the new disabled employment benefit as bad as it sounds? I just feel I'm too ill for all the stress endless medicals would bring? and because I have a husband would I be entitled to diabillity benefits, I wasn't entitled to job seekers allowance as we had savings which are a lot smaller than they were as we have been living off them for the last few months....

If you did not qualify for JSA you are unlikely to qualify for CB ESA. Do you continue to sign on for JSA to keep your NI record up to date?
When did you last claim SDA?Gone ... or have I?0 -

No, they never told me to...You're not allowed to see anyone at our job centre until you speak to their hotline thingymejig...I spoke to them and they basically said come back when your savings are spent...
I last claimed SDA end of September last year...
I get per month a small pension as when my dad died because I was counted as disabled they paid me a small part of his pension as I couldn't ever work full time...0 -
You would have had a two year linking rule for your SDA, if you fell sick within two years of starting work you would have got the SDA back, but as you stopped working last December and did not re-claim it right away you have lost the ability to get it back.
Claim ESA, you will get you NI Credited if nothing else.0 -

I asked to reclaim it my claim was refused becasue it didn't exist anymore....and they said it was pointless at I was still looking for work even though they knew that I was looking for less than 20 hours ideally as I had struggled to manage 20 hours which was another reason I left my job....
Are you telling me they lied, can I query it with anyone....?0 -
They were admant that I couldn't still get it as it has been discontinued....is there anyone I can go to about this? I even have a charity that was going to help me find work and we went through my benefits and they never said anything...
I will repost this in disablity section as there is a few fibromyalgia people in there, thanks for letting me know...0 -

If there is an advice agency such as the CAB near you they should be able to check it out for you.0 -

Thanks think I will, I imagine it'll be too late now.... wouldn't care but they messed up my NI contributions a number of years ago when I was on benefits and I was too ill to sort it out so had to leave it then...0 -
I didnt see the point in mentioning in last night but when I checked the DMG relating to SDA the linking rules didnt seem to cater for WtW benficiaries the way IB and ESA do.0
