Only £1 in my pot today.....I think I went over the top with how much I gave my mum and dad at the beginning of the month - after my final direct debit goes out on Friday, I will have £200 to last me the month....thats a budget of £50 a week as it is exactly 4 weeks today I get paid...and only going to see my boyfriend once this month I think (he lives in brighton) because he is coming down, then has a stag do so thats 2 out of 4 weekends where I can stay home.
My ebay stuff is really not shifting either, finishes in 2 days and has 1 bid of 99p, thats not going to get me far!!!Debt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)- DFD: September 1st 2023[/b]

Morning all!
£10 PAD for me today from my Halifax Rewards. My day to day account is looking quite unhealthy at the moment, just waiting on my Ebay money coming through now to cheer me up!0 -
joeyjimbles wrote: »OK - nasty surprise from Egg today taking my interest rate up to 20.9% just when I was feeling that I could get this all under control! I'm guessing that I was lucky to miss out last time round but I could really spit as there's no way I'd get a balance transfer (my self employment just doesn't stack up) so this is really got to go!
So PAD of £35.00 for me today. I wanted to make it £37.20 (sad but I liked the idea of it being 1% off the total!!) but that would have left me short for tomorrow's direct debit. The bank holiday has made everything go in late too. Still if I can I'll find that £2.20 tomorrow and add it in. Then 'just' 99 more to go.Oh no Joey, sorry to hear thatThey usually give you some notice before they do that so maybe try ringing them and suspending the account which will freeze your balance at it's current interest rate (much lower than the new one I hope!). All it means is that you cannae spend on it or do anything but pay it off but it deffo stops any more interest hikes!
Good luck!
I don't think it affects any credit ratings too... but someone so fabulous might be able to tell you some more

Thats a good idea about suspending the account Danko, well thought of! I haven't weighed in this week either, shame really because I think I've had quite a good week-and-a-half. I'm going to the gym tomorrow and thursday though so will do it then and let you know.
Well done Piggin on your weightloss
xxIt's deffo worth a try though innitEspecially as credit's pretty hard to get hold of anyway at the moment, well any decent deals anyhows. Keeps those interest hikes at bay!
You're so well behaved and boysma! :rotfl: Good luck to you both!
