May I ask, where did you find out about being a mystery shopper? I would like to try it myself.
Hi,
I mystery shop as well. There is a thread on here that is all about mystery shopping. I'm afraid I don't know how to do links but if you type in mystery shopping into the search bar and click forum and it shouls come up. On the front page it gives you a list of the companies you can join and what it all involves. HTH.
My mystery shopping money has come in but I'll wait until Tuesday to pad that as there's still a little outstanding.
PAD for today is £10.'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'

Hi Jedi
How much time do you need to mystery shop? I'd really like to do it, but I rarely take a lunch hour and at all other times have the kids in tow....
Do you get a time limit to complete your "assignment" and what do you have to do exactly?!
(I always imagine you wear a beret, dark glasses and a trench coat and try to look inconspicuous!:rotfl:)0 -
Hello,
PaD for me today of £5.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Mac will be sitting with calculator poised all weekend, totting up the PaDs to see how the monthly total is doing. Many thanks for the hard work btw mac - you using a calculator or a nifty spreadsheet?

Spreadsheets, wouldn't trust myself with a calco.
Actually, I was just doing a few spot checks and making sure I'd added them all in correctly. I do feel a responsibility to you all and don't want to mess it up!0 -

Hi Macgirl,
All assignments are different so some can take 2 minutes others 2 hours. You can pick and choose your jobs and it will tell you the time frame in which you have to complete the job. I work part time (I'm a teacher) so I mostly shop on days I do not work. Some assignments let you take the kids others are very strict and say that you must go alone.
The assignment brief will tell you what you have to do. For example I recently had a coffee shop mystery shop where I had to go and buy a coffee and wait to see if they offered me anything else. I had to remember the name of the person who served me and details such as what the special offers were, any gaps in produce etc. It all sounds quite hard when you first start (well it did for me anyway) but it becomes easier.
The one thing I would say is that you have to register as self employed and fill out a tax form. It's not something you can make a good living from but as extra payments for debts or anything else it's not too bad.
If you need any more advice as I have rambled a bit please feel free to pm me.
Better go and check my dark glasses and trench coat for my next assignment.:rotfl:'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'

Thanks for that Jedi!
Yes, I think I'd be put off by the Tax issue, I don't want to be asked questions at work...
Maybe I'll ring the Tax Office and see. Otherwise it sounds quite up my street!
I've been doing scratchies religiously and reviews, but need another drip feed of cash.
Just watched Kim Catterall on "Who Do You Think You are" on iPlayer - it was such a good programme - but v. emotional.....
Right must go and tot up today's total!, Thanks again0 -
Evening Green :hello:
Hmmmm, after 3 years of no sleep due to DD, a pup would be out of the question for me - need a few more years to forget
Yeah, it's not the same without Terri - I'm hoping she's going to blast in before the 31st with a MEGA-PAD to boost the Grand Total!0
