  • Good morning PADers :D Hope you are all enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend so far...? Went to work last night, and was meant to be working Monday, but was told by the boss that I wasn't needed, so I'm only working 4 days next week :D Hurrah!

PAD for today is £10 free scratchies money, and £4.52 rounding the debt account down, so £14.52

    Morning all

After becoming very frustrated with the attitude of one of the
shopkeepers in a shoe shop, the young blonde declared, 'Well, then, maybe I'll just go out and catch my own alligator and get a pair of alligator shoes for free!'
The shopkeeper replied with a sly smile, 'Well, little lady,
why don't you go on and give it a try?'
The blonde headed off to the swamp, determined to catch an alligator.
Later in the day, as the shopkeeper was driving home, he spotted the same young woman standing waist deep in the murky water, shotgun in hand.

As he brought his car to a stop, he saw a huge 9-foot gator swimming rapidly toward her.
With lightning reflexes, the blonde took aim, shot the creature and hauled it up onto the slippery bank. Nearby were 7 more dead gators all lying belly up.

The shopkeeper stood on the bank, watching in silent amazement as the blonde struggled mightily and barely managed to flip the gator onto its back.
Then, rolling her eyes heavenward, she screamed in frustration.....
'CRAP! THIS ONE'S BAREFOOT, TOO! :rotfl:

  • A good sized payment today, £67.32, as I received a cheque for my dog insurance claim! Very impressed with the speed of service - less than two weeks between the treatment and getting the cheque!:j

We do get a certain amount of naming and shaming on these forums.
How about naming the providers of good service too?
Go on. Tell us who the insurer was please.

Don't be nervous Jo! You're so nice, you'll charm the money from them and not have to resort to the scare tactics like I did!:D
Hope you enjoyed the curry x
  • A rather derisory PAD from me once again.
    30p today.

Some better ones to follow from Tuesday onwards though (sorry Macgirl. Couldn't afford to do it during your month).
Got a reminder from !!!!!! Dastardly about my unpaid bill and another one from Thames Water. Maybe they will block up my sewage pipes if I don't pay (water supply is by another company).
So the taxman and the sh*t shovellers are first in the queue when my cheques clear on Tuesday.

    Morning All!

Had a VERY rare lie-in this morning. Well, when I say Lie-in....
My OH usually has one a week, as I'm a lark and he's a night owl, so I don't mind.
I close the bedroom door, try to keep the kids quiet downstairs and start cleaning, tidying, washing etc...
His version is - leave bedroom door open so I can hear all noise.
Take blanket down and fall back asleep on sofa while kids are glued to the telly or come back upstairs to beg me to get up!

Anyway, have just checked EGG and £4500 has now been transferred to 0% Yippee! :j
I know the debt is still there, but it somehow feels like I've been given a break to catch up.
However, car will cost £200 to fix:eek: So I'm a bit upset about that as that lessens the PADs for this month (sorry Jo:o).

Am off this week, so will list a few Ebays, write more reviews and sign up for mystery shopping.....
Need to update my snowballs and re-prioritise payments

PAD for today is £10 to remaining balance on EGG card.
Have a good day everyone, mac x

Morning all.... thanks for answering the mystery shopping questions....:A:A
yes there's a thread on here on upping your income. I can't do links though!:rolleyes:
What I found is also put aside a mystery shopping `float' (petrol and spends for the job) for the first couple of months as some firms don't pay you until a month - or even two - after your assignment.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Oh and before I forget PAD for me today is £1.
Cheers all - see you later :T:T
