    Hi Mac,

It would seem that all the kids in my family are too old to come to my daughter's birthday party...she was only 1 last year but everyone was a fine age to come..I don't get it?!

    Hi Angelic
I'm my humble experience, a 1st Birthday is like a christening - an excuse for a P up, in the eyes of most guests, after that they become kids parties.
That is a shame as I'm sure you'll accommodate kids of all ages.
They all love pass the parcel don't they?
I'm sure DD won't mind, you'll still make it special for her, even if it's just the 4 of you!

It is frustrating, but my eldest turns up her nose at "baby" parties now - meaning 3 and 4 year olds - because she is all of 5

We had family parties at 1, then days out at 2 & 3 and paid for head-splitters at party places from then on. Not very :money: sadly.

Good luck with it :) x

hi all, been away not good had loss in the family (hence M&S bill hiked up!)
    today pad

    next £40.72

Feel very sad and trying not to cry

Hey there....HUGE hug for you! :grouphug:

And like the others have said, it's OK to cry. You NEED to cry and let it out of your system. I found the more I tried not to, the more I did! And, trying not to cry gave me nasty headaches!

So get some chocolate (or whatever you like most), curl up on the sofa and let it all out. You'll feel better for it.

Even better if you have a friend, OH or family member there to comfort you too. Don't be afraid to ask for that hug.....sometimes people hold back as they are afraid of overstepping the mark or upsetting you more so best to let them know that you do need them.

Oh, and of course, remember the good times, they'll make you smile.

Most of all, take your time with it all.

    Again, big hugs for you!

  • G'day g'day!

Just had cheesy chips and a diet coke in the pub with a colleague who's just had a baby (aww!) and came straight back to make my PAD as penance!

So £8.01 to the c/c for me, to round it down to a prettier number (although, obviously, the prettiest number to see on your credit card statement is £0 :o)

    Have fantabulous afternoons!
