Hi All,
Payday today so was able to make a final payment to my loan...£2,857.17.
Thats it, its gone !!! :j:j:j:j:j:j
We managed to pay it 26 months before it was due to end. The main reason we've been able to pay it off early is because I'm on maternity leave and I've not had to pay childcare fees - I live in London so you can just imagine what the fees were. We've also been ebaying, and have had no life outside home, no new clothes, no nights out (well apart from the odd one here or there), even the kids have had no new clothes!!
Next step is my Virgin card - hoping to pay that off by April 2010.
Debt Free Day is creeping closer !! :TFriend Debt: 5,000/3,850

Thanks for your good wishes all, the interview was yesterday and will find out early next week.
Would love to get it as 2K more than I was on, and exactly the same sort of job, in a different organisation. Splurged on haircut, and new top and pants just to make myself feel better; will suffer for it somewhere. I'm not very confident in interviews (who is?) but can't think of any questions I could have answered better so we'll just have to wait and see.
Also I got a letter from Lloyds TSB yesterday saying that as I have a reclaim pending, they are not pursuing the debt and will mark my credit file as disputed, so I think thats a bit of a result as well. Will leave that overdraft alone now as it will be paid when and if the bank charges thing is sorted.
