  • Thanks mumof4! No I'm oblivious to the whole farming / Facebook thing but it sounds like fun, I've always wanted a big red tractor myself!

I forgot to put the most important thing in my post, the pad!! It's only a measly £2.57 today :D. I was in a hurry to see if everyone made it out of the car crash, I'm hoping it's not Bridget and I'm dying to find out, although if anyone knows DON'T TELL ME!! (Neighbours!! No? Just me then?! Oh dear!)
  • Hi PandaPaws - welcome to the madhouse :p

One word of warning...don't be drawn into Facebook Farming! They're all bonkers :D

 *wanders off desperately trying to convince herself she doesn't want a pink tractor*

    Hippity-hop-hi everyone,
I've been lurking for a while now, and I've finally got round to posting. I was a bit worried about joining in, as in my first month, I didn't manage to PAD every day (got a bit enthusiastic at the start of the month :D) but last month I managed to pay off an extra £45 overall, so I'm well chuffed with that. So I'll be PAD-ing when I can, I hope that'll be ok.. I've developed a quite worrying habit of staring at my debt repayment spreadsheet for hours on end working out how much I could PAD and how much it will save me in interest, how long it will all take, etc, etc! Anyway, first rant over, you all seem like a really nice bunch so look forward to PADing and posting with you ;).

    Hi PandaPaws

You'll fit it quite well here then and, by the way, are you my twin?! We seem to have very similar habits relating to spreadsheets!

Hi PigginSkint - I bet you're not as sad as me, I type in random amounts just to see how many days it would take off and how much interest it would save me (and then delete it cos I haven't got that much to pay off anyway)!! I really should try and wean myself off this habit, but it's so addictive once you start making ickle payments to see what it does to the overall total!!

    Good morning all!

Good grief Jo - what were you doing posting totals at 4am?????? Please tell me you weren't up farming :rotfl:

Hmmmm, think you may need to check into to Farmers Anon Jo!:D

Mac - let us know how you get on with the car. I would be lost without mine as i need it for work and managing life in general. How are you getting about now?

    Hi Hopeful :hello:
Been out all day trucking round garages and a car auction. Nothing doing.
I've been very fortunate as my Mum broke her foot, so I was swanning around in her VERY flash car for 2 weeks
(I could defo get used to that - whenI'mdebtfreewhenI'mdebtfree).
I work on the way - kind of - to DH's work so he dropped picked me up a couple of times.
This was awkward as he generally takes to kids to school/nursery and I leave for work at 6.30am, then leave work early (5pm!) to pick them up.
So I'm really desparate to get a car this week. Have decided to use the cash from OH and add a bit to it to get a better one, as I do a lot of motorway miles....

    On a brighter note, I won £5 on a free scratchie today!!!:j
Plus a piddly amount of expenses went back into my account so £10 please Jo - have to spread it out! ;)

    Have a good weekend everyone!!

  • happy friday! going to enjoy my first (and probably second!) cheeky glass of wine tonight after a week of refraining. DH has gone to anglesey (sp?) for the weekend on a diving trip so it's just me and the boys. there's a family fun day at david lloyd on sunday so that's a nice free swim for us :)
    have a good weekend! x

Well I have got spreadsheets set up for each of my credit cards. I transfer all the info from my statements onto them. On each one I have got formulae set up to estimate interest month by month, minimum payments etc - for months and years ahead. Then for each one I have got calculations set up so that I can work out when that card will be cleared if I only pay minimum payment - for each month of each year until clear (for the Halifax cards this is about 60 years)! This means I can really see the difference the additional little payments make!

So which one of us is sadder?! :rotfl:
