well he got a phone call this morning to say that one of his friends died in a plane crash yesterday evening in Portugal. He was training for his pilot's licence and due to come home in 3 weeks or so.

    xx

Oh god how awful!! Really puts things into perspective.
Cant even begin to imagine what his family and friends are going through.

    Yeah, it was shocking alright!

And how do you comfort a guy you don't know that well?! If it was one of the girl's, or even one of the guys that I knew better, I wouldn't have any problem in giving them a big hug. But, I don't know him that well, so I didn't really know what to do. Scared of making it worse.

Poor guy's not having a good time lately. His girlfriend has been in Brazil for a few months as an exchange student but has been really, really ill for the last 2 weeks. Multiple hospital admissions etc. They now think she has some disease spread by mosquitoes and therefore can't come home until she is recovered (so she doesn't spread it). And now this! AND....all this after starting a new job himself 3 weeks ago. His mind must be all over the place, unsure of what to do with himself!

Mmmm, I really wanna see my friends and family.

Sounds like he is having a really tough time. To be honest in situations like that unless you are close to the person theres not a lot you can say or do. I guess just understand that he wont be feeling great and his work will be affected by it - but sounds like your doing a great job at suporting him on that side of things.

  • I've not heard anything from her recently and she hasn't logged on since the 1st September I know she was going through a really bad time but not much we can do until she gets in touch -hopefully she will soon. If any of you play bingo can you keep an eye out for her as she was playing quite a bit of bingo I know she plays on virgin and littlewoods but not sure where else. I am quite worried about her.

    evening all:).

forgot to add that last night, i had been abit naughty:eek:

i found £6.25 left over from when i used to do match betting, and as it was too little amount to draw out,i bet on Man U winning last night, and they won.

so i now have over £10 and can withdraw and make another PAD when it transfers:T

well done to everyone who has made a payment today:grouphug: (group hug lol)
