And in all seriousness, I do find it despicable that so many bears wish so much misery on the rest of the population, so they can further their own selfish ends.

Yep, despicable indeed that someone should want to pay LESS for something and enjoy their life rather than work 60 hours a week funding a huge debt. Now bulls wishing for another insane HPI session would never dream of being selfish and spout how much their home has risen in value at the expense of others.

Time and time again i have read on here that bears are greedy, selfish and do not have a thought for others. Am i going mad in thinking this doesn't make a blind bit of sense? Sorry home owners, i'll work my !!! off for the rest of my life, giving up basic human needs such as starting a family etc just so i can fund my over-priced shoe box studio flat so you can bask in your huge, pre-boom home going on about how much its worth to your friends at dinner partys.

Get a grip on this rubbish stereotype.

I see, so you want the price of everyone elses property to fall so you can have it easier..... To put millions in negative equity so you can save a few bob.....

    Well done.

And good job proving my original point.:T

i think that's human nature and i don't see anything wrong with that.
it's like buying shares - you only buy at the right price. otherwise it makes no financial sense

with a house there is no point in buying it unless it's affordable and makes financial sense. for many they are unaffordable - they want them to drop in value so they can buy. i see that as reasonable. what is wrong with that?

what i don't understand and is probably what bothers you is those that just want houses to drop so everyone can afford them - that makes no sense and will never happen in the UK.

Its tit for tat here hamish, as many have mentioned previously bears do not wish misery with regards to NE, unemployment or the state of the economy. I am no different in every sense. Why then do bulls (not all) try to rub non-homeowners noses in it by saying how big and clever you are for buying at the right time? What goes around comes around.

    Hardly proving your point?

What a great thread about bulls baiting.

Posts 1-7 are just baiting of the "bulls" on here.

Is the OP confused or just not able to read the baiting by his/her own group?

Theres no other way for prices to crash.... If you want cheaper houses, you have to want the associated misery that comes along with the recession.

You don't have to look very far to find bearish threads on here and elsewhere gloating about investors losing everything, celebrities getting in trouble with BTL, etc etc etc.

I don't think bulls do that at all. Bulls just rightly state it doesn't matter when you buy, buying is still better than renting, and even buying at peak is massively cheaper than renting for a lifetime.

I've found the easiest way to unnerve a bull is to tell them they are correct. You get a funny reaction, as they then go all bearish on you to prove you wrong about saying they are correct.

I'm a bear and I find some of your posts unnerving.
Mainly the ones to do with maths, statistics, house prices and especially those containing some degree of analysis carried out by yourself.

So if you say they are correct they then try to prove they are not??

Put the pop back down Graham. :)
