Using the keyboard; Flying Windows + Pause Break > > Hardware > Device Manager Are their any yellow question(or exclamation) marks visible?
If not, follow these instructions: Windows Zero Configuration.
You may need some drivers and I'm sure Tanglefoot is tracking them down for you.

Are there any other numbers and/or letters on the bottom to aid identification? There should be a four-digit number (0763?) followed by three other characters.0

Thanks for this but can't find anything but to be honest not exactly sure what I'm looking for! Have looked under internet access, wi-fi, restore settings etc.
Do you know if there is any way to restore the programs that I deleted without restoring to factory settings. As previously stated I've tried system restore but that wouldn't work.
Thank you.0 -

Hi TangleFoot, thanks a lot for this but I'm a bit baffled with the instructions - sorry.
Installation instructions- Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
- Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
The default location is C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\WLANATH2. - Click Start, then click Run...
- Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in step 2, and click OK.
Example: C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\WLANATH2\SETUP.EXE. - Follow the instructions on the screen.

Unless you've intentionally created a 'limited' account for your own use, you already have administrative privileges. Just double-click the file you just downloaded, navigate to the folder it extracted to using Explorer ([WinKey]+[E]) and double-click the file named Setup.I don't even know how to carry out instruction 1 - how do I access administrative privileges?0 -

Sorry TangleFoot but I don't quite understand what I'm supposed to be doing! I've opened the link you sent in your earlier post but it only tells me how to do it as previously posted.
