Last night I decided to remove programs off my laptop but as I am not entirely sure that I should have deleted some and have therfore been trying to retrieve them. I have read some of the threads on here and have tried to 'system restore' as suggested. I have tried yesterday's date and 2 dates before this and it won't let me restore. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

System Restore only keeps a backup of critical system files and settings rather than entire third-party applications, so no surprise there. Can you remember what it was you uninstalled?0

There were quite a few but they were mainly stuff that had not been accessed for over 2 years. The problem I'm having now is not being able to use the wireless setting on my laptop and can only think I've uninstalled something related to that. Could that have happened?0

What make and model of laptop do you have?0

sounds like you have uninstalled a wireless client. although windows doesnt require one to connect, isps usually install them for your own ease of use but when you remove them windows does not take back over automaticallyBack by no demand whatsoever.0 -
