That's brilliant Lisa, well done :T
I found a nice pattern for a ripple blanket last night, I'm hoping I will have time after Christmas to make one. I'd like to make it in loads of different purple/lilac shades for my sisters birthday.
Just got to finish the baby blanket and all the other things I'm working on....got too many other projects on the go at the moment.

Thanks so much for the link greenpixey. I have loads of odd balls of wool left over from my knitting projects and will now be using them up doing one of these blankets. Hopefully will have enough for a single bed throw. I wonder how many valleys and mountains would need to make one that big?0 -

Greenpixey - thanks for the ebay link - I ended up buying the yarn - I've just got to get the hook thingie now!!! I'll be looking for that magazine too - will you let me know if you find it - mind you I'm pretty much housebound at the minute with my newborn!
I've been searching the net and found loads of free patterns - I'm amazed at the things you can make - I've found some super mario and futurama characters that my kids will love, I'll post some links tomorrow.
Owens - your blanket is fabulous - I love the colours. I can't believe that's your first project!0
