  • posted on successes too but thought it should go here as picture are in default :)

Called the FSCS today just expecting to be told my claim was being looked by a claims assessor this week - but amazingly, i was told my claim was completed on friday 16th sept and i will be receiving a cheque in the next week!!!!!!!

wooohoooo! just need to wait for the amount now lol. the guy from deloitte guaranteed it will be for more than 9k but couldnt say how much in total as he said he didnt know how much interest etc would be added to the basic figure.

anyway, the fact we'll be getting our money back is good enough for me for now!

im so pleased - thanks everyone for your help and support in reclaiming

Lucky c they ask for the policy certificate so I had to get it from them, we never actually ever received one in the first place! They have confirmed they have sent it and I called them today and the emailed it but I couldn't open it! Hopefully it will be here in the morning. I can't actually sent the documents to fscs until I get this. I really hope it's all enough because the stress this has caused us since the realisation has been enormous! I'm just a bit concerned cause I've bot seen any posts about Netloans (the broker).

Well done jo! I hope you enjoy spending it!xx
  • MagP i know how you feel about it being stressful. Even if you havent seen anything about netloans doesnt mean you havent got a case. It was missold to you so therefore its a genuine claim from what you say. If a company is in default the fscs will work out the sums in as short a time as possible. Usually about 6 months. Hang in there and use and abuse us all when you need support. We have all been there so we know what its like. And look at it like this, you claiming against netloans may lead to others doing the same after reading your posts. The more people are encouraged by one persons actions against companies who have taken your cash wrongly the more we win a victory for us all!
That first step of the claim form looks daunting but just send everything you got paperwork wise and tell them everything in your own words and you will have done the difficult part.
If you dont try making a claim you will never know what happens.
I almost gave up after first trying in 2007 and getting nowhere with a claims company( never try them)
I found this place in 2009, asked questions and tried ot myself. Reason it took so long was down to fos being snowed under by claims and freedom going bust. But as you can see from my post up there its almost over and hopefully cheque here soon.
    You WILL get there xx
  • Rang FSCS just now for an update. They said they have everything back from Deloitte today and it will take 5-7 working days for someone to review it and come to a decision. But he has no info whether its a definite yes or no as of yet.
    Heart in mouth time again!!

I hope it all goes well for you luckyc. I called them this morning too as paragon are claiming they have sent a copy of the policy certificate twice now and still not actually received it! They told me just to put in a covering letter to explain this and send in all the other stuff along with the application form. Sent it recorded delivery today so I'm praying that they look at it soon and give me a decision.

Declared in default 22nd September 2011
  • Hi all, a bit disappointed today. I sent off my claim forms for the picture loan ppi last April. After hearing nothing i e-mailed fscs last month to say i had not heard anything. A few days after they replied and said they had found my claim and it should not be long before i hear something. Yesterday i e-mailed them again and today i recieved this from dellottie ?

After consulting the system it appears that this claim has been closed due to a lack of evidence.

    Regards,

    Martin Burke

I sent off the copy of the loan agreement with the ppi on it. i explained i was sold it over the phone and was not told it was only for 5 years. And did not know the interest was added to the whole loan etc. etc. :((((
