Hi bunsmum. Im almost in same situation as you in that my wilmslow claim was upheld by adjudicator and passed on to ombudsman too. My file was sent to FSCS and i got my claim form on monday and a letter saying wilmslow were now in default.
I filled the form in and sent the loan/ppi form and all correspondance with FOS too as it says it will help things speed up.
The forms go straight to deloitte and estimated time is 3 months but will try and deal with those that already been upheld sooner.
Im also having financial difficulties and FOS had bumped my up the queue. Fscs said they will try and do the same when i rang them.
Hopefully all will be sorted before end of the year now.
I originally started my claim in 2007 with the useless first step group. But they folded so i continued alone thanks to here. My claim been with FOS since 2009 so hopefully after almost 4yrs it will all end happily ever after very soon! Lol

That has to be the best piece of news I've heard in a very long time! :j Hopefully the form will arrive this week but if not I'll give the FSCS a call to follow up. Almost too excited to sleep now!

I have just sent a letter to try to reclaim PPI on a Picture loan taken out 4 years ago - I sent a letter and filled in the forms on this site but I've sent it direct to Picture. From reading some of the posts above, should I have sent it direct to FSCS?

    Thanks

    Hi there & welcome

With Picture already in default and listed with the FSCS, they should send you a claim form, so I would contact them if you can tomorrow and they will arrange to send on in the post.

And hopefully you shouldn'e be waiting too long for a payout either with them already in default, good luck.;)

  • Rang FSCS today and got a call back from deloittes to update me.
Said they are just waiting for some data to come through about interest rate from paragon (even though ppi from wilmslow/freedom) so there is no conflicting evidence. Whatever that means.
The guy dealing with it says it could take a month to get the info from them but hopefully sooner so it can be all dealt with.
What do we reckon? Positive result as ive not been knocked back at this stage? Or still 50/50?
