Received a letter from Deloitte who is dealing with the PPI claim against Picture Loans. The form i submitted was from FSCS.

They said " the initial reviews have now been completed. We will begin processing your claim shortly"

Does that mean that the claim is successful?

At least it is in motion.

I know this has probally been asked alot but how long did they take to reply to you. sent mine off to them two months ago. don't they reply to say they have recieved your claim ? thanks
  • Can anyone help me here been looking at the forum about picture is it possible to claim against them if they have went into receivership I have a loan with them which I have been paying since 2005 and the balance is more now than when I took it out I feel this was not explained to me at the time the rate is over 11% they have not been helpfull when I called them.
I have looked at the paperwork and it looks wrong where do I go with this can we claim them or not please help.
    regards

    Hi Bob

You can make a claim through the Financial compensation scheme in regards of Picture.
When (what year) did you take out your loan?

wow, that really is very good news. we took out a loan with picture in october 2005. loan amount was for 46000, ppi charged was 11,477 - increasing our borrowing to 57,477!!!! shocking. all the usual reasons to make a claim now - the amount/5 years, not for lifetime of the loan/already had sickness cover in place via employers etc etc.
only prompted to look into claiming yesterday when we were phoned by a company offering to claim for us and also a letter thru the post offering the same thing from a different company - am obviously going through the process myself though, not via a company who will charge me extortionate amounts!
have just put in my initial enquiry to the fscs today. here's hoping for a positive result - will keep you posted!

I think a SAR request is the thing to do. I'm sure someone cleverer than me on here can take you to a link.
Just the loan account number could be enough.
